Erm ... if I were a betting captain, I'd probably wager a few credits for a Narvidian win. However, it's not an absolute given, especially on demanding. What level was the Narvidian captain? It should normally say (even as he is bearing down on you).
Your pilot level is a little low at 14, but it depends on which class you started with. One of my test captains was at pilot = 9 by level 2, and pilot = 12 by level 4, but he started out as a Spy, so began with 6 pilot at level 1.
Running is not a good option, with pilot 14, stealth 12. You're definitely better off shooting everything you've got. If he's right beside you and attempting to board, RAM him. You're gonna die unless you've beefed up your warrior skill, so ramming him may give you enough distance to get outta there alive.
Before you die, you can always drop to the home screen of your phone, wait a few hours, then hope that when you go back into the game, the game starts back at the main screen. This will mean the encounter will be over, but any damage you sustained will still be kept.

No ... avoid using a task killer as it may fix your immediate problem, but it also obliterates some rather critical cached values that affect your captain in the longer term.
I strongly with a capital "D" (for Don't do it) recommend against using Task Killers with ST RPG.

I'm confused. What does it do that's bad? Cached values?
I deleted my post. I'll trust your judgement.

You could escape the Narv.
Torp -> Retreat
that is the best 2-move when outmatched.

Why? Can you explain the advance or retreat mechanisms? You've said before that you torp then move to advance and now you say the same on retreat.
What gets factored when you hit advance or retreat? Do I not have a higher chance of retreating if retreat is my first move? are you saying to torpedo to knock out a few of its sails? I assumed, for no good reason, that if I torpedo I am not making a position change and thus will likely bee more vulnerable to them advancing on me. where it'd I hit retreat I can try to escape or keep distance?
I've always found it difficult to close gap in bounty or destroy missions, where enemy usually evades when I hit advance. For preventing fleeing enemies, us torpedo and advance also the best option?

The rate of success on the Torpedo attack is included as a net penalty vs. the opponent in the following round, IF: the the attacker's dice roll was better than the defender's dice roll (discounting move specific bonuses and penalties.(*1))
So, if you are facing an opponent who is most likely to advance, then a first turn retreat is less advantageous compared to a high roll on torp(*2) followed by a retreat. However, if you are facing an opponent who is most likely to torp, then a first turn retreat is the best option.
If you expect your opponent to flee, starting the battle with a successful torp will: - Reduce the next Retreat Maneuver they attempt - Rattle the Crew (reducing EffectiveMorale for the next turn) - Possibly Damage Solar Sail (The Long Range Ship Attribute for Maneuvers)
*[This rule does not apply to NPC attacks and torps on Demanding and below.]
*[This depends on your character's build for torp use, really, but the balance is such that most characters are at least moderately torp-capable.]

THIS is why Cadar strategy works so well! ... Torp early, torp lots! Torp --> Advance works almost as well as Torp --> Retreat ... except you are going in the opposite direction of course
