About Portrait, how about we can use from our own mobile phone/handphone's drive. We can use our own photo, doggy photo, rage comic photo or... some anime stuff. lol If CK has that function, I gonna use Revi pic from Black Lagoon.

That would require that CK have a number of permissions about reading and writing to external storage.

If you read some of the reviews a selling point of some TB games is no or low permissions thingies.... not that I care about em though.

Oh I definitely know that. it was one of the biggest selling points to me. I only ask, as that within reason, I can understand some permissions.
People want to know their device is secured, and power users like myself, want to make damn sure it isn't feeding info in the background.

in this case i have to think about risk vs. reward and consider the impact to people who play and buy, but don't trust the same way as members of the forum.

theres always 2 kinds of clients and if you wanna have both you will need to do 2 game versions with and without permissions. i belong to those that think much about privacy so if update just need them - ill just stop to update game

Is it possible to write a helper app, separate from CK that you could load that would just give you the ability to upload your own images? Then only the people who are willing to take the risk need to, the people who are cautious get things exactly the way they are now, and in the helper app you can say -- This is the CK character editor. It has to be able to read and write your SD card so you can use your own images. That's all we are using the ability for. The game works perfectly well with the standard images, so only use this if you want to customise your character with your own graphics. You must have already purchased the CK eltie edition in order to use this app. Then everybody's happy, no? PS I would pay money for this. |

Hacks are nice but it spoils the game quickly and you will be bored ASAP. |

I think gravelings idea is genius. No one could accuse you of grabbing for money because the app wouldn't alter gameplay at all.... and you could get more money.  |

That does sound intriguing but I'd like to get a little bit more flexibility than just a image editor to shell out more money. No equipment or hacks like that, but maybe put in a music editor so you can use music that you like when you play. You can have the Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi blaring when you fight and when you roam around have some sweet music from the Southpark cartoon... Something like Chef's Chocolate Salty Balls perhaps ;D |
