Hello again. This is newbie again. However I am not here for asking questions.
I am aware that Cory will update on customization in future.
Yet, a newbie fan have a little suggestions... which other might wrote in thread already.
1. There could be more different portrait and sprite for protagonist than these two Caucasian trench coat couple.
To be honest, she is the one, who makes me purchase Elite version XD she is not pretty, but her top attracts me slightly.
Here is my ideas for upcoming protagonist, if u don't mind.
-male, African, used to serve in an army in African continent, but civil war got worse every day, and his superiors are corrupted, especially by mega corps. Soon, he realized civil war is actually for greed of mega corps. and he is just expandable. He felt absurd towards all the service he did with prices, especially his deceased comrades, unintended civilian casualty and lastly his lost arm, which reinforced with cybernetic. With fugacious heart, he decided to desert from his service and drifted away. At the end, he ended up in New Boston Zone with few bucks.
-female, African, being taken as child soldier by Guerilla (Kony?) when she was a kid. She took all kind of abuse and training from them, yet she survived. However, she has to kill many people in order to live... especially from abuse of Guerilla. Guerilla, she belonged, is actually supported by mega corp, and only interested in natural sources for profit rather than political reason. Later mega corps. found them no use and rat them out to a government. Out protagonist somehow survived in the government's raid and became a wanted fugitive for her deeds. She just had to stow away from there to New Boston Zone for her survival.
-Male, Asian. Used to study in computer engineering in Harvard. During his study, he got a career offer from mega corp. for his highly talented computer skill. However they are more interested his skill for illegal hacking purpose. He was waiting for opportunity to reach upper class of society quickly, so he accepted. He was positioned in New Tokyo Zone and other nearby Asia Zones. He was controlling all the data around there and hacking opponent's secrets. Everything he craved for is coming into his hands. He thought he could get into upper society soon... until one of his mega corp.'s rival found his tail and revealed it in public. Ironically, mega corp denied that they never ordered him for this kind of actions and didn't seem to care about him. He is being pursed by law and his bank account has been frozen, he has no choice but stowing away to any other place with small cash in his hands... it was New Boston Zone.
-female, Asian. She was born in a typical Asian family. As she grew up, her parents less care about her (by their work) and she stopped to talk them. In the school, she had difficulty to get along with her classmates, her teacher only concern about her grade. As she felt isolated from her entourage, ran away into streets. In mean streets, she somehow became juvenile gangs for petty crimes. One day, She somehow fell into one of Yakuza middle boss and became his lover. She moved along with him in New Tokyo Zone. Because of Yakuza's traditional society, she wasn't well treated along with other Yakuza, especially her gender and background. However, she tried to blend in as much as she could for herself and her lover. Few months later her lover embezzled huge amount of money from Yakuza's trade. To put, the embezzled money is actually connected mega corps. which put Yakuza at awkward situation. She and he ran away from eyes of Yakuza for several months with fear. Later, she has to leave him for few hours. When she came back, she witnessed that he was being taken by several Yakuza. She could not risk herself to save him, just watched whole situation hopelessly. She never saw him again after they took him into Yakuza van. Her life is now at stake, because when a Yakuza betrays, his whole family and lovers will not be safe, will be sold as organ trafficking, prostitution, or for worse, tortured to Death. She could not let that fate happen to her, she has to sneak into a smuggling ships and somehow got into New Boston Zone.
2.Stat with class. I don't hate classes in CK. I thought it won't be bad idea if we can adjust stat after we decide on the class. Not too freely on stat(which could abused in the game), but some of aspect like little more dex with lower negotiation, or more athletic with less int.
3. More class? Hacker, sniper, gunslinger, Cybersword, AgentEX, Face are not bad. Yet there could be more class, if Cory does not mind.
-Shield, Unlike Sniper, Gunslinger, Shield specialize on shotguns. Shield get bonus on escort mission (Don't fxxking touch my client or your face will be decorated with my shell).
-Gunslinger - Current version of Gunslinger (not runner, protagonist) can wield variety of firearm. I thought how about if Gunslinger is more focused on hand guns, and sub machine guns like UZI, MP5? Most interesting idea (yet some people said it already) would be using dual hand guns or UZI at same times XD
-Cyberfist, Similar with Cybersword, but more specialized in hand to hand (no weapon) combat. so, Cyberfist would be more proficient in glove equipment like stunna. I thought if Cyberfist has more bonus on capture meanwhile Cybersword has bonus on assassination. because when I play CK as Cybersword, I thought I gonna use a light saber to kill some gang like a Jedi (how silly of me).
That's all.
p.s. I think I spent 2-3 hrs for characters background. some might think drawing and designing character sprite does not have to do with background. But some people get inspiration from those kind of background and design a character's look.
Finally, I realized my English is not that good as when I was in art college.
