I am happy about the new stun weapons. Another thing to consider -- should she be able to buy cyber claws? And use them when she has bought them? She can now. No we actually failed to see this conflict for the new runner. Honestly, the issue exists with some of the runners as well. Cyber weapons are kind of a hack in STE and CK adds them in a way that we may need to change to support this. I thought it was a feature that a face or an agent X runner could use cyberclaws. I will be sad if this goes away.

I'm with gravling on this one. It would be cool if we kept it at everyone being able to use cyberclaws, just not well. Since we are getting stat and skill limits perhaps we could put a lower cealing on the CKs and runners that you envision as bad hand to hand combatants, say like 10 or 12... and maybe make it more costly.
Another thought(if possible) is a AP surecharge for useing weapons or skills that are not really in the range of the CK or runner, like 2 points extra.

The core issue is the artwork and the continuity of the game's interface.
I have any easy fix here that corrects the issue with cyber claw attacks not matching the artwork, but based on your post I won't deploy it just yet.
However, that is probably what will happen as the game matures -- some people will have the facility to utilize cyber-claws and some won't.
Currently *all* of the characters are limited in some form or fashion. The first two cannot use clubs, for example.

Currently *all* of the characters are limited in some form or fashion. The first two cannot use clubs, for example. If we had some rather nice stunning batons in the game, I would argue that the first two should not be limited that way. While I appreciate that it is more work to come up with more artwork, from a player's point of view I don't find weapon limitattions to be any fun at all. The point about D&D class limitations springs to mind -- I have always hated them, and found the idea that 'haflings cannot be Paladins' and 'only Gnomes can by multi-classed cleric/thieves' and the like to reflect cultural racism. Some roles may be fairly considered more typical for certain races than others, as plays to their natural strengths, so that it would take an exceptional Halfling to even want to be a Paladin, but the notion that the Gods wouldn't be interested strikes me as nonsense. And, after all, most of us pretty much want to role play exceptional characters. So this is the point where I tend to get out the character editor and just force the game to accept combinations that I think would be amusing to play. Because the arbitrary limits to my imagination just grate. And opens up some interesting new avenues to explore -- the most fun I ever had with Baldur's Gate 2 - Shadows of Amn was playing a duet with Viconia classed as a Drowish cleric/thief of Shar partnered with my main character.

Correction -- the stus on her boots are somtimes on the inside (her main picture) and sometimes on the outside (the picture of her getting attacked). As a practical matter, if you wear boots with metal studs on the inside, you will find they chew up the leather on the matching boot's inside rather well.
I think the walking around graphic makes it look as if she was wearing chaps. I keep expecting her to get on her horse and vamoose out of there ...

I don't think CK will be the first game to say that Elves can't be Paladins The constitution penalty hurts, but is otherwise not an awful choice for a paladin. Paladin of Freedom would fit better thematically, though. The point about D&D class limitations springs to mind -- I have always hated them, and found the idea that 'haflings cannot be Paladins'. A one level dip into Swordsage for a shadow hand stance to get the feat Shadow Blade, and Halflings do just fine as Paladins. Though a two level dip into fighter, getting the Martial Study and Martial stance feats, would give the same outcome, the higher hit point average and +2 BaB, compared to nothing from the Swordsage, is probably better for a front line fighter. Mind, though that a two level Swordsage dip nets you wisdom to AC in light armour. Been playing a lot of 3.5 recently, so...

grävling - sorry that you hate the artwork. I will try to fix the issues with her images and try to do better next time. On the weapons issue, currently there are 13 types of weapons in the game, broken into 4 (really rough) art categories for animation. As we expand, it will end up probably being more like 20+ and 7 art categories. For both a speed of artwork, physical size of the game APK, and specialization capabilities, it is impossible to have every CK do everything. I can get on board the idea that if a Knight has melee capabilities, then he / she can use the claws, even if the animation is for a club or a sword.

I was a hardcore dice and paper roleplayer for the longest time. Played GURPS, TMNT, Warhammer, AD&D, D&D, Marvel, DC, Shadowrun, Top Secret S.I. Mage the Ascension, etc. My 2nd ed AD&D half-elf fighter/thief can knock out most players with minimal enchanted gear. I can safely say that because I hunt down other players as a "villain" player ;D

Sorry, I was talking about World's Edge.
Elves can't be Paladins because the humans killed the Elven gods, essentially putting an end to Elven religion.

I'm all for class restrictions. What's the point of getting specialized runners and characters if they are all built the same way. I would actually like to see advantages and disadvantages in each class to create differences ;D

I'm happy with limited choices, gives a reason to try all the different characters to see what fits your playstyle best. I'm waiting for the insane character that doesn't like useing guns, that will be interesting. ;D

I think that the 'Kyra' should be deleted from the character, as this is a person's name and you get to pick your own.

Female I and Female II and Female III all start to feel a little impersonal from my POV.
