I did not write them down, but I've noticed some planets that are named wrong. By that I mean I get a rumor about a planet, I plot a course, and when I get there the planet is named something else.
I went and checked the rumor again and it had a distance of 0 AU. I'm not sure what the cause is (like if planets have different names in different difficulties), I'm sure you do, I just wanted to make you aware of it. I will keep track of the rumor name vs actual name if you need me to.
btw, AU is an incredibly small astronomical distance. 1 AU is the mean distance of the Earth to the Sun. A parsec would probably be a more appropriate unit for interstellar travel. A parsec is just over 3.26 light years.
Of course AU would be the unit around stars. If you travel back and forth between two planets that are 3 spaces away from each other in the same solar system, it should take less fuel/water than travel to another solar system that is 6 spaces away.
You probably don't want to get into using two different units of measure for travel, so forget I brought it up if it gives you nightmares!
Another thing I've had happen several times recently is during space flight, at the beginning of movement after moving one space, the screen goes gray and the game effectively "locks up". I had to end the program and start again.

Brent, Thanks a bunch for the feedback and bug reports. If there is any way you could send in an ANR or collect a crash report I will figure out this lock up and fix it. Of course, I have never been able to reproduce it no matter how much I play on my phones I want to fix but I need to know where to start. Your assistance would be MUCH appreciated. ----- The game's text around planet and location names occasionally looks like a bug to players, but I like to think of it as part of the world's depth =) A planet has the following names: - Sector Name Containing Planet - Urban Zone Name - Wild Zone Name - Planet Name [Hidden Currently] All three of those can be different depending on the locals of the area and the history. The Rumors will often refer to the Urban or Wild zone by name, and the Captain's bridge team will use the name of the sector. ------------- I originally used the Star Trader "SU" unit which means 'Star Unit' and is a totally made up value. Early players suggested we replace SU with AU because AU was recognizable and a unit of distance in space people would recognize. I do not intend to enter into a debate about the efficiencies of the Titan Reactor or Void-Space Solar Sail but water consumption does vary based on a number of factors related to proximity of planetary bodies. I'm afraid that a second measure of travel would cause confusion among new players. I can see the point that AU is wildly inaccurate if ST universe's AU is Earth's AU. However, I really think that the label "AU" gets people to understand.

When I say gray, its not gray as in an all gray screen. It is gray as in I can see everything but it is dimmed. I'll see what I can do the next time it happens.

I appreciate that you want to add depth to the game. That shows a lot of thoughtfulness. But I find this system extremely confusing and it makes the rumors useless to me. I do not have the time and energy to memorize many different names for each planet. I am playing this game on my phone while waiting in line somewhere, I don't have a list of names to reference.
Just a thought!

Totally understand and never intended anyone to try to memorize the stuff.
* Use the zoom map to see what's close and useful. * Use the "Plot Course" button to find Rumors far away
I admit that most of the time I do not even read the location's name anymore, I just look for the word "Shortage" =)
