As of now the contracts are in several places that you have to make quite a few menu clicks to get through them all.
So my idea is to make it a main menu item like the Star Dock, Palace, Exchange, Spice Hall and a new button for Contracts. When you open the contracts menu you get to choose which type of contract type to do. For example Bounty Hunter contracts are now grouped into one button and there could be groups for each character type or contract type (surveillance, blockade, and escort) and maybe some contracts for exploring and harvesting.
I would also like to add that I am addicted to this game and it is my first market purchase.
Edit: Didn't think this needed its own thread. Option to adjust the text size and color of the water-fuel co-ordinates on the main map.

HUD configuration: that's a new idea, didn't think of that. you want it smaller? bigger? red? what options should it have?
--------
I will think about the first suggestion -- it definitely makes some sense from a UX standpoint.
Right now, there are some game balance reasons why the buttons are spread out.
- Military Base: Best Paying, Best Rep'ing Contracts (Hardest to Access) - Prince: Offers Spy, Good Rep'ing, Edict Bonus for Price - Hall: Base Contracts, Poor Pay, Poor Rep
I am, even today, coding more intelligence into the ContractFactory to create a wider array of contracts for the different locations.
That is not to say that same logic couldn't be hidden behind a different type of interface that still knew Prince/Hall/MilBase but didn't present it to the user.

The text size for the HUD could be chosen by font size as long as it doesn’t start to wrap to the next line down. Colors could be player choice by a color palette if that's possible.
Contracts could be setup like this with all contracts in one place but you still go to the palace to complete the contract or star dock or hall.
Contracts --> Military Base (list of available contracts) ------------> Prince (list of available contracts) ------------> Hall (list of available contracts)

How about in the Contracts menu/section, there is the usual collection of contracts, but an added field shows where the source of the contract stems from (ie, Military, Political, Hall). Also, instead of you just getting the option to "Accept" or "Reject" a contract, it would be great to be able to click on the following options: "Accept" "Previous" "Next". This way, you can look through the contracts available on that planet and see which one best appeals to your sensibilities You shouldn't have to reject a contract before being able to see the next.

Oh ... ha ... another thought. I'd really like it if some contracts came with a portion of the contract fee to be paid in advance. If you accept the contract, then you get some credits to help with your upfront costs (you know, spice, holovids, gambling, etc).
IF you fail to complete a contract, then the credit advance would become a debt that would accumulate penalty interest. How fast you would have to pay the amount back would depend on your reputation with the faction. This, in conjunction with a reputation penalty with that faction would be a good incentive to not just take the money and run.
This debt thing would be a good tie-in with any banking system you plan on implementing.

Instead of an advance on a contract, how about being able to take out a high interest loan based on your ship's trade-in value and faction rep? Sometimes you just need some cash to fuel up and run a contract or two. Sometimes you want to do something stupid.

Yeah - I do stupid things at least once a day. It's the only way to know your limits

I honestly don't mind having to go to different zones to get contracts... you would have to walk to them all in order to take them anyway, unless they were being sent to you as you came into atmo. However, I would like to be able to send your first mate into a star dock (and other places) your restricted from, if you have the stealth or tactics to fool the palace/docks/exchange, to think he's part of a different ship. Also stealth could be used as forgery to forge a different name that has no bad rep.
