I have 49 Credits. I went to the Dockside Hotel and tried to spend the night. This costs 50, so it didn't work -- the button for the hotel could not be pressed. But I never got a 'not enough credits' message. I remember getting them before. So something has changed, and maybe is broken? I think the messages about not enough credits were a good idea.

I thought cory implemented a free hotel feature in an earlier update?something along the lines of "now if you have no credits you can stay in free hotels".but it only works for the hotels that are 25 a night.so go there graveling.you should be able to stay for free.only you don't lose heat if you stay for free. |

Yes, that feature still works but given that I had 49 credits I could afford a night in a 25 credder hotel without the charity. My complaint was that the hotel should say 'you cannot afford to stay here' in the same way that the doctors say 'you cannot afford our services' and the taxis say 'not enough credits, chummer'. And, actually, I remember them doing so at one point so either my memory is faulty or something became broken and I only noticed it now.

Yeah that's weird and sounds like a bug.but..why did you try to stay in the 50 a night coffin motel when you only had 49 credits?haha

Since nanopollution had been attacking my eyeballs, I decided, while I was there, to get some lenswear as well. (This has worked out great, by the way, I haven't seen the eyeballs attacked message since.) Then I got the doctor to heal me up to 9hp, since there is no bed at Sayteks, and it would be bad to die leaving the clinic as I walked to the nearest hotel. Dockside is nearest, so I went there to sleep off the exhaustion. Only when I got there did I find out that I only had 49 credits on me -- because I couldn't get into the hotel. So I walked over to Kate's Safe Urban Shelter instead. |

Haha there are a few things about the environment hazards that wear on my nerves if I play for long sessions."terrorists detonated a part of the dome above you".they seem to be totally random though.I'm not sure if character class plays a factor in the background rolls.I play a facemaster and 1 out of 10 encounters will offer a negotiation to avoid the fight. |

Encounters are decided based on the zone, but your ability to get a negotiation button is based on your skills and class.

I think the messages about not enough credits were a good idea. you can get a free 25 night stay, but if you are exhausted, have less than the hotel costs, and it isn't a 25 a night hotel then it has a bug and doesn't toast. fixed |

I'm not sure if its intended to be this way Cory,but I get more toasts for the combat bribes playing as hackers than as facemasters.its probably because of my stealth skill.my legendary hacker has massive stealth. |
