The number of repairs/torpedoes etc. shown doesn't seem to make much sense. If the message says "there is one gun/armour refit available" this means I can buy 100 guns, so long as I do it in one transaction. Shouldn't the numbers shown be higher, and that's how many units are for sale? Or is that too difficult to implement?

Those are repair bids for your ship, and based on the bid you select you can repair up to your maximum needed. The number of repair bids available for your ship determined by cost, complexity, Starport.

Also, this protects from SP exhaustion of repairs, and it matches the original math used to balance the game. Not something I will probably change at any point in ST1. ST2 will feature a very different repair system.
