Once you hit lv40 or 50, the game gets kinda boring because no one stands a chance against you and you have 2 million dollars at least which can buy anything. So id like to request som new suff to make things interesting. 1. Mega ships. You can make ships that are "super fast" or "super quick" (250 per cent of hull base engines and sails) and price them at like 4 million so even once you hit lv40 and you have 2.5 million there's still a point of countinuing to make money because there's still stuff that you don't have enough money to buy. And maybe you can make ships that have 60+ hull and over 350 crew and price them at 3 million and they'd be "super slow" (base engines and sailb 75 per cent of hull), or have a ship with a 350 hold. Also, maybe once your a star hero exemplar (or whtever the highest reputation title is) fo a faction, you get mega-contracts. These woud include things like ending conflicts. For example maybe during a spy conflict you'd get a contract requiring you to spy on a sector many times and countinously sell the records produced to the faction in order to end the spy batle. And if you successfully end it for the certain faction, they give you something like 400,000. This way even at lv40 or lv50 the game doesn't get boring, because by that time you start to get offered new difficult contracts that would be a huge challenge and would keep the game interesting and fresh.

Sounds like: 1) you're not on a hard enough difficulty 2) you're not pissing off enough factions My lv 51 bounty hunter recently had a ship shot out from under him by a lv 90 indy pirate and only escaped due to the escape shuttle.

Well I was recently on diffuclty insane and now trying it on imposible. Mayb that's the problem. But when I was on insane on lv50, I had a negative rep of less than -1000 with all clans (less than -3000 for steel long clan ;D). Also if you had to escapecause you were shot at, try usng a bigger ship. You'll be able to withstand enough damage to close in and board. Once that happens, its all over if you have enough weapons

Generally yes, but with enemies up to 190% of your level there is always a chance you'll meet your match at some point. Can't remember how they managed it but often I'll close to shoot their engines out and the enemy gets lucky with a ram attack and destroys the hull in one. I don't like big ships that much due to fuel consumption and the fact that it's harder to run from high level enemies. Damage sustained from combat can screw you over if you're on a contract run which is why I'll often run from anyone higher level than me.

Hi Starfixer ... on Impossible, nothing is ever "that easy". Sure you can get to level 70 - 80 if you try, but there is always that risk that round the corner, a level 170 Bounty Hunter from Steel Song is going to try and come after you. Good ship or not, sometimes luck has a lot to play and your next encounter could seriously be your last.
My highest captain in Impossible died around level 130 or 140 something. I had focused on all the combat-specific skills (pilot was at least 170, tactics 140, warrior 110, etc). I still got creamed in a random encounter as I was flying between two safe worlds.

I suppose your right salyernz. After all, I suppose thats why no one ever makes it to lv1000. Still, some new features once your heavily progressed in the game would be nice. I mean be honest, you wouldnt want a 60 hull ship, or a ship thats even faster than a fast ship?

I'd personally want to take control of a Battlestar, and have the ability to launch Nukes rather than Torps ... but that's just me

Nukes wouldn't kilthe enemy automaticly, but maybe be like 5x the damage of torps.

I dunno - if you hit an enemy ship with a planet-buster Nuke, you'd certainly not expect to find many pieces left

True, although how fun would it be if you obliterate ever enemy every time by presing "nuke". It would get boring after a while. Then agan, hypotheticly speaking, if it could destroy planets, one could use it to destroy whole factions <cough> steel long clan <cough> <cough> Anyways, back to reality, how about mega-upgrades? Like a super expensive armor upgrade which replaces you old armor with new armor that's equal to your hull Or maybe an upgrade that reduces torp or ram damage by 90 per cent (impact shielding generator doesn't do much) or an upgrade that doubles your speed, and another one that doubles your agility. How bout a Type IV boarding upgrade?

If you nuked Steel Long Clan out of existence, I'm not sure anyone would notice, other than asking "Who are they?" and "Why the hell didn't you blow up Steel Song Clan instead?"
