Hello Everyone:
I have released another version of Star Traders RPG v3.1.0 to the market.
I really hope that you can forget about the past 10 hours of update trouble, forgive Trese Brothers and remember that everyone mistakes sometimes.
I assumed the Android documentation for how to fetch the "Version Number" was accurate, but it turns out -- it was far from complete!
To everyone who was impacted by the startup crashes or temporary loss of main menu icon -- I AM VERY SORRY!
I really am I cannot convey to you how important and personally troubling these events have been.

Well, I for one can launch it now, but I won't play for a while (it's never -just- 5 minutes with me). Don't pop a blood vessel over this or anything. I mean, you're not done updating this game yet Can't you just feel the love? Peace

Thanks man, much appreciated. Just hearing that you're launching again makes me feel better.
Not fun, but lessons learned. My Android-fu just keeps getting better =)

I'm sure everyone would agree that your efforts are much appreciated. The passion you have for your project is evident and the results are enjoyed by all of us. It's refreshing to see such humble and honest responses to the concerns of the end users being expressed. You're providing a quality product and for that we thank you. As you said, everyone makes mistakes sometimes, but it's those that can learn from them that benefit from them. As for myself, I look forward to many more promising updates and convey my gratitude, as well as my astonishment for the many minutes / hours / days that seem to dissappear as I enjoy your game.

Heck, I've got another app where it took the (commerical) developer 8 days to respond with "last week's update will fix your problem." Except that it didn't. So I sent a Logcat file. No response (or app update posted) for 6 days (and counting).
Cory, you have released >10 updates in that time and have responded to >100 forum posts plus countless emails. Stop beating yourself up.

^ All of that. You're doing an amazing job as a developer. Android is a system with a lot of programming traps to fall into, most notably that there are so many versions on so many handsets. You've done a great job at diagnosing people's problems and getting them fixed while also adding new features to the game and while trying to work on another game and get it out the door. You've got nothing to worry about, everyone here understands its a process and there are ups and downs. It happens, usually a lot more than this. No worries, you're doing a great job. Besides... If anyone complains, you can always name a 1 armor, 1 gun Cadar Training Drone after them and let us all blow it up a few hundred times
