Woah! Love the new buttons. Although it may be confusing to new players with no words.
Also, no freezing when mashing buttons. Sometimes I get 2 encounters in a row, but its definetly alot better, almost perfect. Was that you who did that cory?

@cory - thats a good reminder that we need to update the market screenshots and the help-tips at the beginning of the game to make the new buttons nice and clear.

Also before when you arrive at the destintion of the contract, the bridge, urban, or wild button would be in bold letters, and when you reached x amount of notifications, the bridge would also be in bold, followed by the status being in bold. Considderin these buttons are now pictures, prehaps you could change the color of the button enstead (like maybe to red)

+1 to what starfixer said. I think that only the bridge button was bolded before, and urban/wild/blockade... would be bolded on the bridge screen, but I always wondered why that was the case when urban/wild were visible anyway. Showing them in a different colour would be very useful.

It froze when I mashed blockade. I feel survielence doesn't freeze as much though. From the reports and e-mails this is really driven by the OS and what other services / apps / background threads that the device is running. We're going to be working on the HUD and Tablets for a while, then come back and try to keep the buttons hidden for slightly longer to allow these devices with the I/O performance issues to keep the OS event sync and game file access together so that it won't freeze on your phone anymore.

What about that pop-up that would ask how many times you'd wish to blockade/patrol the sector? That would remove the mashing, and you can put it in the options menu so it would only be for people that have mash problems. Could you add that for the next update?

No, I can't add that for the next update. The suggestion has been logged, that much I can promise. I cannot give any ETA or make any guarantees about when we will be able to support that type of change. It is a pretty huge code change because Android OS has a system called ANR that puts some pretty heavy requirements on long running operations. Attempting to support that across 1538 different device models and 10 different versions of the Android OS isn't something you can rush into. The risks are just too great -- many people depend on the correct functioning of the buttons -- it does work very well on many devices (for example, the 6 I have running the game in front of me!)

When I first saw the buttons, I was like huh? It took all of 5 seconds to figure out which is which and now it's like, how did we ever play without them! Keep up the great work.

ab357 - thanks for the comment. That's how most button-driven HUDs work... a few seconds of confusion, but then it becomes completely second-nature.

fallen you guys also have to be commended for the time you put into programming. I'm surprised you all find time to actually play We truly do appreciate the work you guys put in and this forum is priceless. I hate I don't get more time spend here. Many in my personal circle don't understand the greatness of spacer RPGs. LOL

ab357 - we both believe (and the sock puppets agree) that you have to play the game to make it better. If you don't then, you are making changes without all the proper inputs and don't have as much insight to balance all the RFEs from the forum and the massive piles of email.
