One thing that has screwed me up from time to time, esp when doing the time-based awards... Is how the date increases. I know each default action is 0.01 (1 week), however the date never shows the X.0X properly. If it is date 61.01 , it shows as 61.1... Only when it gets to the X.XX does it start showing properly. Minor thing, but wanted to point it out.

What do you mean, doesn't display properly? Just no leading zero? That's how we normally write numbers. Or does it not show at all?

For me today it is 7/28/2012 and in a few weeks it will be 8/7/2012.
That is just how I am used to seeing dates and built the date formatter off that.
We could change it but I'm not sure it would make it more or less clear.

Lol, I'm American too. I suppose the issue just throws me more when doing the time-based ones. When I see decimal points, I think in tenths/hundredths, etc. so 6.3 is 6 and 3-tenths. 6.03 is 6 and 3-hundredths. a fairly big difference. Also, when it hits 6.30 it shows 6.30. not having the leading '0' can be a bit odd. At least to me. Yes, I do think 8/7/12 in effect. Though I often for files where I do care about date-management, I do 08/07/12

Well, in that case, 6.3 and 6.03 are both wrong, it should be 3.057692308, as there are 52 weeks in a year

It's a date format used by a fantasy group of space exiles that exist in a universe I created.
My gut feeling is that I have the right to determine the manner in which they store dates.
I am not sure that 57/03 would be more clear to new players. I will mark this down on the issues list and chock up a vote for it. I don't see a lot (actually, any) e-mails about this in our log.

While others argue whether dates should be printed in ascending order (day month year) or descending order (year month day) and which punctuation characters should be used to separate them, as far as I know only in the USA is 'smallest in the middle' order wanted.
Those of you who are getting confused 'because this is a decimal point'' will be amazed to learn that in a lot of the world, including Sweden, if you want to write 5 million 6 hundred-and-four thousand, nine hundred and ninety-seven and 37 onehundredthds you write:
5.604.997,37
i.e. with the functions of the periods and the commas swapped. This is actually a bad problem for international collaboration, because Microsoft did not provide for the ability to share two spreadsheets, each using the other format. (Open Office does it ok).

I just can't fathom why everyone doesn't just adopt the US methods of everything as the one true standard. We are obviously the best (at everything).

Not surprisingly, most of the world does not think so highly of us. Probably has to do with having a lot of surprisingly ignorant citizens in our midst.
I don't think date format needs changing, people just need to know it goes by year.week format.
I'm tired of customizing sigs every time I flash a ROM. This time it's plain old Torp City!
