I am only seeing animations with the Male 1 character. Females 1 and 2 -- and the martial artist runners don't animate. So if this is what you expect, then, well ok but if you have animations for the other characters, I am not seeing them.
The Female 1 and 2 characters move a lot more slowly now, even though they are not being animated. So I turned off the Animated Walking when playing them.
And I have found a bug. When I change from having my main character lead the party to have one of my runners lead the party, the portrait on the left hand side correctly changes to the runner's face. But the animated sprite that runs around on the map remains as my main character. When I change screens to a different neighbourhood, the sprite moves to the new (correct) character. Same problem if I change back to my main character -- the portrait changes propertly, but the sprite remains that of my runner.
Now, should I decide to stay in a hotel in this inconsistent state, I emerge consistant. But I emerge with my portrait changed to match my sprite, not my sprite changed to match my portrait, and it was the portrait that was correct and the sprite that was wrong. So I am nicely consistent but the wrong person is leading.
I have 'disable animated walking' and 'disable smooth scrolling' and 'disable auto-resume move' set. The Follow Scrolling and On-Screen D-pad are not disabled.
I am playing a female 2 Face who is currently accompanied by Whit Red, Cibi, and Keel Cramma.

grävling - the update text of "some" animations = only Male 1. Other CKs are not animated yet. Soon! - your walking character should always be a Knight, sounds like there are some glitches around hotels / change regions. - the face of the "active character" will be shown in the HUD -trying to get the animation to look nice and not diddle the walking speed is hard.

Ah, I liked it that when my runner was the active character it was the runner's sprite that was shown. I'd hate to lose that feature.

Actually, I'm gonna second Gravling on that.
I too liked having the runner on the main map. It helped me keep track of who was leading the party, which is useful when you're looking to need a certain skill for something.
(having said that I've been mostly experimenting with solo CK's of late, so it's been a bit)

actually when we have active ck and swith to active runner - runner on NBZ map doesnt change until we go to next zone - then we have runner walking on map and to switch to CK we need to move to second zone

fallen wanted to change things so that you never see a runner on the world map, always the CK. That way there are fewer animations to make. Only the portrait would change. So the bug is seeing the runner at all. I am trying to talk him out of this idea. I like it that the runners graphic shows up on the screen, and don't want it to change.

grävling - we are getting a lot of feedback that agrees with you, and not with the Lazy Art Team. We will work on it in the next releases as we get the rest of the CKs animated.

I think it was very important that we go with a single animated character to collect feedback on performance and understand what the players thought.
Speed, options, etc all developed with forum and e-mail feedback. I think if we had waited to animate every sprite before release we would have been sorry ... and needed to do a lot of rework

Ah yes, I am very happy with the idea of releasing one sprite at a time. I just want to be able to see Rika and Whit Red scurry across the map! ;D

today I saw animations for Male I - great work fallen too bad it work so slow now but I have one sugestion - maybe its my personal view but I think that for standing in front of us - previous sprite was much better - his posture looks more tough and coat looks like it moves on wind what do you think about it?

koles - we are working through the animation and will keep after it. The "cool standing" sprite definitely is cooler, but it can't be used in the animation for walking. We are working on smoothing out the whole animation loop and how the individual (standing) sprites are used.

today I saw animations for Male I - great work fallen too bad it work so slow now And we are working on supporting all the devices we can. It is odd that koles is saying it is so slow because I have the same device and it is working pretty well. You are still talking about the Samsung Galaxy II? Since our test device (it only has our other applications) doesn't have any issues, can you think about posting a CatLog file? I'd like to help figure out why your device is animating so slow.
