Was wondering IF/when Multiplayer might be coming to Templar Assault, I love playing, and the wife watches wishing we could go head to head with squads hot seat style, and I thought I'd inquire. Especially since the game seems like it would lend itself so well to that style of play
If there is a multiplayer planned, what form will it take? (Hotseat, Network, Words with friends style...)
Also, is anyone else hoping and waiting for this possible feature?

I will study those options and watch this thread for other posts.
Right now, we don't have any active plans to add multi-player but that doesn't mean we won't make a plan!

Multiplayer...hot seat would be cool, WiFi would be awesome, web/net would be EPIC. It would probably require a whole bunch of new code, but It'll be a hot day in Helheim before anyone says they WOULDN'T be happy about it.

A multiplayer system like in Uniwar would be awesome

The concept of multiplayer for this game is definitely cool. However, I couldn't see actually getting a lot of use out of a pass the phone style mplayer. Online could be awesome, but still not necessary in my opinion. Honestly, I'd prefer to see continued upgrades that focus on perfecting gameplay and additions such as classes and weapons as well as single player levels/campaigns.
If multiplayer is going to be considered, I for one would prefer it to be implemented much further down the line, understanding that the developers have a limited amount of time and resources and must prioritize.

I agree to an extent about making things right... though I wonder if turning the bot off and allowing a player turn instead is really that much harder (only have worked on megamek, different system so can't say with any real credibility)
I play on a 7" tablet and in bed we play all kinds of Pass and play games such as uniwar, elder sign, Go, and a few others before sleep (is more fun and social than a book after day of work and kids)
And once Hotseat is added, wouldn't the continuation of development continue on, it seems to me that once done its a great way to also advertise to friends as well and open new areas of interest
Glad to see other opinions

Well I'm sure my opinion would change if my wife wasn't such a stick in the mud, or if it really was just as easy as flipping a switch on the ai. Of course more features would be better, but I'm just saying that the particular feature in question does not rank very high on my list of most wanted.

Honestly, supporting Internet multiplayer would require major changes to TA and our support infrastructure.
Once we get TA out of beta and have the features we planned to have in the current version we'll be releasing a roadmap of planned enhancements and hotseat multi-player is certainly possible.

I never expected Internet Multi-player (craziness ensues when converting like that) more of the hotseat option like they do with elder sign or neuroshima hex
