DEVICE: Motorola Milestone X Android Ver: 2.3.5 Character: Pirate Diff: Demanding WHAT HAPPENED: While my ship moves along in space, the map dims in brightness. As soon as the ship reaches its destination, Star Traders's RPG does not function. The program remains running but does not respond to any command. To stop it, I have to go into my Milestone X's Settings>Manage Applications>Choose Star Trader RPG> and Force Close it. ""Did Your Press Report? If you did, THANK YOU! What Message Did you Type? That will help me link this post, our bug and the Google Crash Report. I will give you a gold star."" No idea how to do this. Where can I find the instructions?. ""Did you Use Log Cat? If you did, THANK YOU! Can you Post or E-Mail? I will give you a gold star!"" No idea how to do this. Where can I find the instructions? ""Read more: startradersrpg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=stbugs&action=display&thread=1483#ixzz22urN4EqF"" Link doesn't work, or I copied it wrong. rabid

Here is the link to LogCat if you want to produce a log report: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nolanlawson.logcatThis sounds like another application on the device is interrupting the GPU calls or the memory space of Star Traders RPG and causing it to abort. I will investigate, we get these reports on the forum and e-mail from time to time. I have received several LogCat outputs showing the device when this error occurs. In 100% of the recorded cases where I get a log file it shows another application crashing and freezing up the device. One of the most common ones is something called LauncherPro and the crash is resolved by the user installing a different third party theme.

Wasn't this resolved several releases ago?
I'm tired of customizing sigs every time I flash a ROM. This time it's plain old Torp City!

Wasn't this resolved several releases ago? I'm tired of customizing sigs every time I flash a ROM. This time it's plain old Torp City! This is the behavior when the "drawing surface" crashes. I fixed a bug on some devices where the drawing surface would run out of memory and crash. The described behavior can be caused by several different issues. Aside from the memory and GPU memory exhaustion issues, it is usually caused by another application trying to do something illegal to the screen.

This happens to m sometimes also. It dims and I can't do anything. However sometimes its on the way to a destination and the ship will countinue to move but I can't do anything. Also when I have an encounter, it gets bright and I can move again. But when the combat is over, and goes back to map, it gets dim again and I can't move

Any LogCat that I can get will help potentially resolving the issue on your device.
