Sometimes when I get torped it won't say on the bottom the damage. Enstead, it will say literally "... and ship xxx mantianed range with ship yyy" I don't know why there's that dot dot dot where it should say"ship yyy torped ship xxx for z damage"
I had a ship with 31 armor and 30 hull. I got rammed ONCE and my hull and armor was reduced to 0. When I looked at the bottom, it said I took 32 damage, but I had 31 armor and 30 hull, so I actually took 61 damage
This happens very frequently when I'm boarding an opponent. It will say I struck 100 damage taking only 20, except the other ship will really only take like 40 damage and I take all 20 damage. For example it will say i boarded a ship for 110 damage taking only 16, except m opponent will lose maybe 30 crew and 10 engines, and ill lose 16 crew!

When boarding, the damage inflicted includes damage inflicted to the other crew's morale, which will not be reflected in the ship's stats. If you do a large amount of damage to their morale, the next boarding/duel action should be more successful than if morale was still at 10.
Torps can do zero damage, but the only time I've noticed that being shown, it did say 0 damage, so I don't know what's going on in your situation.

When I get hit by a torp, my ship is damaged, s the torp dos do more then 0 damage. And if what your saying is true about morale, why is it that all the damage that it says was inflicted to me is reflected in the stats and only the damage it says was inflicted to the enemy isn't shown? And if it says I deal 150 damage, even if some of that damage is converted into moral loss, ithere should still be at least 100 damage reflected in the stats.

Check Guns and Torps stats on the enemy ship too, just in case you weren't factoring those in.
I'm tired of customizing sigs every time I flash a ROM. This time it's plain old Torp City!

Yes, damage isn't the exact total of the value of points removed from the stats. I can't fix that, sorry. ST2

I prefer:
The difficult we do right away. The impossible takes a bit longer.
Said to be the slogan of the US Army Corp of Engineeers in WW2. I think it applies to TB as well.

Even if the boarding can't be fixed, you could at least fix the ram damag so I don't take MORE damage then it says I should.

The damage that is displayed is the pre-soak value before the data is fed into the Ship Object for application. Your ship suffered a critical hit if you take more damage that it is displayed. I tried removing Critical hits but it makes enemy ships too hard to kill for the player -- it screwed up the game balance pretty badly actually. ST-458 and I will look at it once I have time. Thanks for posts! Critical hits cut both ways. I will log this as a bug

We just have to prioritize the requests between things that make a few people happy and take 2 weeks and things that make 10,000 people happy and take 2 hours. That's the life of someone working 3 jobs

As long as you remember that *that you exist at all* makes some of us very happy *all the time* -- prioritise away.

I've only noticed that happening to me, not to enemies. Then again though, I don't ram. If it works both ways, I'm not against critcal hits. But if its a critical hit, can't it just say how much damage I took from the critical hit, or does it not work that way?
