Me too. And it looks like 'creative reinterpretation' not 'nicking' to me.

+1 from me, very cool.
I'm tired of customizing sigs every time I flash a ROM. This time it's plain old Torp City!

your main menu looks better than the one I made Ahh, but your main menu works! That's the difference!

The font is Platinum Beat BTN, I think it's free to download but it was already installed on my computer.

@jr - we have the best community ever. Thank you for the awesome suggestions. You may see these in the game in the relatively new future (the art team has other big things cooking)! Thanks for the awesome work!!

Thanks, I like graphic design so I thought I'd just have a go at the menu and see what it ended up like, it's not particularly original but I wanted to stay close to the current set-up.
P.S. 'Art team', I didn't appreciate how much stuff was drawn/created/taken from NASA's website (yep, I found some very familiar pictures while looking for public domain space photos there) until I got them onto my computer and had a look at the hundreds of files. It took me ages to find the ones from the main menu!!

@jr - back in the day, Cory was the art team, and Nasa's public domain archive drove much of the art that existed in Star Traders. With such a small art team (... is "team" a valid word for just one person?) we have to borrow when we can!

Still, there are a lot of illustrations that you just don't appreciate while playing: ships, officers, buttons, resources etc...
It made me realise the amount of time that must have gone into it!!
