The sky above Cadar Prime glows ominously crimson as the battleship prepares for lift-off. The private star dock sits at the centre of the Royal Palace, encircled by jagged architecture that seems to lean inwards towards the ship. A small group of courtiers and wealthy patrons stand at the side of the dock, dressed in plumes of ornate finery. Beneath their grand exterior pistols hang hidden in their belts - after all, this is Cadar Capital.
They watch onwards as Valance de Cadar continues his discussion with the captain of the ship. Their faces betray nothing. Finally the Prince nods briefly, signalling that the discussion is over. The captain turns away and strides purposefully onto his ship. The boarding ramp begins to ease upwards.
By now the blood red sky has been replaced by a thin layer of dark blue cloud. The flashing green lights of the ship illuminate the star dock. The engines suddenly fire up, a screaming roar that drowns out all other noise, the stench of engine fumes almost suffocating the surrounding people. The great ship eases out of her moorings and begins to lift up into the evening sky.
Captain Crushrabbit looks out from the bridge of the Rabbit Bane as the gloomy lights of Cadar Capital are gradually smothered out by the clouds. “I’m coming to get you Rabid Rabbit…” he says to himself quietly, “...and I like to fight fire with fire.”
His mouth curls into a grim smile as he fires up his chainsaw.
