Question, Im avoiding runners due to costs and most they wouldn't be much use if I'm only aloud to escape and negotiate my way through encounters. But, am I still able to hire mercenaries for protection? ahem, meat walls.

Iv read that task managers will mess with ST's equations. I didn't know if this applied to CK. And ive been playing for six months as assassins and hacker andbeen reading the forum just as long so please dont talk to me like a nube.I wanted to try something different. I know how to play. Task killers will mess up ST and CK, ST more than CK. We are working on a fix for the CK combat system so that it works like TA where if you kill task you just "restore combat" at the same place. What do you mean by 'mess up'? For the point of view of this exercise, restoring combat at the same place is precisely what you do not want -- since there is no way to say 'give me a brutal game, start me with 8500 cash and 48 XP to spend' the whole point of using the task manager is to kill combat that would otherwise kill you so you can get to a certain starting point. In testing things for CK I have done this all the time, and I have never seen any behaviour that I would consider wrong and based on the fact that I have done this.

Just like in ST you reset the XP bonus dice to zero with each task killer. I tried to balance the probability of combat and the XP bonus dice against each other. In testing my XP graph shows that using a Task Killer generates a substantial degradation in XP earning. My testing might not be the same as your device, Androids!
