One suggestion:
Sometimes I will will have to "acknowledge" 3 or 4 friendly ships before I can move my ship into a particular sector. What I don't understand is why my ship doesn't automatically advance into the chosen sector immediately following an encounter that was peacefully concluded by the acknowledge command.
The game doesn't work this way during planet landings. When I attempt to land on a planet and encounter a ship during landing, if I acknowledge that ship then at the conclusion of the encounter I am automatically transferred to the planet. If I retreat from that encounter then I do not advance to the planet.
But in the case of space movement, the game treats the outcome of acknowledging and retreating the same: that is, my ship does NOT advance into the sector desired. I see why this is so for retreating -- I am literally flying back to where I came from. But acknowledging a ship means I have moved into a new sector, encountered a ship, and hove-to for inspection in that new sector. After the encounter (assuming I am not thrown into jail/penalized), I should be in the new sector. Think of it as being stopped by the local cops and being waved through after showing my ID.
In addition, when I chose to fight a ship, if I win that encounter then I should also advance into the new sector -- after all, some ship tried to stop me from entering a sector, and that ship lost. So I should be in the new sector upon winning the fight.
Cory, what say you? I would love to see this changed.

He addressed this in another post and said it was a programming difficulty native to the language.
He is working on it, though.

I would love to see this changed as well, trust me.
JTwood is too kind -- it is a programming difficulty native to the ST RPG codebase, not Android's fault.
I'm going to fix it ASAP! =)
PS: I agree regarding victory and movement

Ah, you did address this already. Sorry -- I just now realized that there was a second page of topics that I hadn't seen.
Great work, of course. You are doing a hell of a job.

I totally agree tho and I think once you advance when:
- you win - they run & you don't run - you surrender & they don't care - you acknowledge
if that is all working i think the movement map will be more fluid and seem less like "i'm stuck" sometimes when the ship is hurt, full or somewhere crawling with ships for a rumor or whatever reason
