What I have changed, due to popular demand, is that pirates (even those fully justified in attacking) now no longer have any Faction rank or reputation impacts after the battle. So, essentially, Pirates are not Faction members even when they have the Flag flown. Pirates might have a Faction ship, but the Crew and Captain are operating with only a wink and a nod -- no Faction warships are coming to help with and the Faction won't step in for either side in a little pirate dispute =) Thank you so very much! I always hated that, especially early on before you can establish yourself with a faction, it was like "loose all the valuables in your hold, or loose faction points just because some privateer got wind of you." |
