Got last couple of posts for chapter 3 posted last night. Tried to get the horror of the situation across without getting overly graphic. Hope I at least partially succeeded.

Will hopefully get chapter 4 started in the next day or so. Mom fell and broke her hip a couple weeks ago requiring surgery and I've been sick with the flu so my creative energies have been rather dulled I'm afraid. In the meantime I found this wonderful piece of artwork and a rather crude job of editing out most of the fantastic work done by the original artist on my cell phone leaves us with a fair idea of the sword Kier-Bri Stormraven wields in my saga. Will hopefully find a couple more pieces of artwork I can appropriate for my story.

Real life takes precedence, so no worries on the story delays.
As for that sword, it looks like someone gutted a big, mean fish. I would imagine being cleaved by it would feel like a fish being gutted, too!

I would imagine being cleaved by it would feel like a fish being gutted, too! Mom seems to be recovering well from her surgery, and hopefully I'm finally getting rid of this flu. As for the sword perhaps I should post the original artwork to better show its scale, that is a very large weapon. Then imagine a rather petite 5 year old first gutting a large man in heavy war armor with its points then chopping his head off with the axe like protruding blades at the end. At that age if you stood the blade on it's point it was probably nearly two feet taller than her. Even fully grown the sword is probably still a bit longer than she is tall.

That's pretty big! I'm guessing there's some kind of alien or supernatural link between her and that sword, allowing her to wield it in spite of its size.

fallenThanks for the encouragement. Hopefully you or Cory will let me know if I start taking things to far afield of your vision for the quadrant. That said you'll have to forgive me if I do take a bit of license with regards to the game mechanics vs. story, such as number of officers in game compared to what I may eventually write into a ships crew, and what upgrades or combinations of upgrades might be done to a ship. As everyone can see I've started the next chapter in my story. I included a picture I found online to give a rough idea of her appearance as she is prepared to visit court. The eyes in the picture aren't right but overall it comes fairly close to how I envision her. I have found a few other pictures that are evocative of her in different aspects or scenarios that I may use at some point as well so don't be surprised if the faces aren't the same
