Like Ive seen comment by several others, I have nearly a hundred accumulated captain records, most of which are dead. I don't know what performance impact a large number of captains might cause, but it would be nice to have a way to get rid of old dead captains, without losing the awards they may have earned.
Of course I know there is a way to delete captain records, but there is no way to see which awards are attached to them. I made the mistake once before of deleting captains, and found I had to go back and earn a whole bunch of awards all over again.

Once you unlock a reward for completing an award, its unlocked. Delting the record doesn't change anything. If it does, its a bug.

Well, if thats the case then I have no problem, but the only time I deleted a bunch of captains it cost me a whole lot of awards.

It has never deleted awards, actually I think Corey had explained it is read only for awards. I will wait to see dev respond but I bet you are confused/misunderstanding awards and unlocks on ST. *** I just deleted 20 captains and lost no awards.****

Agreed -- do not worry about deleting your Captain and loosing Awards.
You can delete Captains but you cannot delete Awards.
Star Traders RPG has never had a function in that is capable of deleting Awards.
We never had a reason to delete any awards, so we store Awards in read only storage.
You can delete all the Awards by uninstalling the game, but beyond that, there simply isn't another way to remove one.
Even if you had ST RPG installed on an SD card and the SD card was failing you might loose random data but we ran into that an added a checksum check and you would see a warning that the game couldn't continue.
So more than likely there is some confusion about how Awards display (or perhaps how Unlocks work with Awards?)
Thanks for the post, hope this explanation helps dispel any misplaced concern.
