I have a small screen and too often than not I turn and move my templars while scrolling the map to inspect the next intersection or whatever. A free look button next to the map zoom slider that deselects all and locks out all but the free look (or free scroll) button would help tremendously in my opinion. just my 2. cents

overseer - this is because you are scrolling around and accidentally touch the screen and move your Templar without wanting the move? Just making sure I understand why!

Thanks for the post and welcome to the forum.
We are working on a new HUD for TA and after that will be figuring out if there is space for new buttons and features.
Stay tuned -- we've added your request to the TA development list as #699
Thanks for the post -- Welcome to the Forum!

@cory thanks much! if one were able to deselect the currently active templar by clicking his icon thereby having no active templars then a free look or free map scroll would be active without messing around with a button. but easier said than coded no doubt!! fallen yeah my fat thumbs get in the mix and while I have a templar selected (haven't found a way to deselect if its possible) I scroll the map and many times burn AP inadvertently. I wonder if its just me?

I have a similar issue, but I think mine is more just a case of PEBUAK. I'll hame two templar next to each other and try to select the second by clicking on his avatar. Instead of doing so, I will just rotate the currently selected figure. For sure, the simple answer to my issue is to use the thumbnails instead of the avatars on the map.

I have done some playing around with this and if your active TK is facing forward and you scroll lets say right and release (even if active TK is now off screen) and you tap the map anywhere on the screen your active TK will turn right wasting a move. this occurs in all directions relative to scroll direction even if the player taps a tile beyond a valid movement. try this on your devices and see. if your results. are the same. I have an older phone sometimes my touch screen is. a little laggy leading to unintended taps when the. intention was to swipe when you add that to this movement behavior. I have a hard time playing this even though I enjoy this game.

That is as designed so that when there is a huge cluster of xeno and templars, you can still turn, control and command your units.
When we turn this feature off we quickly found it was critical -- you see, several of the later levels at higher difficulty cannot be won due to control issues introduced by the lack of available control spaces.
What you're describing is also documented in the Help file as a feature. I find that I particularly need it on smaller screen devices as well, although I certainly understand what you mean about some Android devices having some lag. You may want to check out some of the Options in the game to see if they assist the performance on your device.

@cory thanks for the reply I just wish there was a way to deselect the active TK so that none were active to make it easier to flick back and forth between engagements without accidentally giving movement orders. I may have to commandeer my daughters phone so I can play TA! but I don't know if that'll solve this or not but I would have a killer phone ...hmmmm.....

We buy all of our devices on www.swappa.com -- used, quality and a lot cheaper / easier than those crooks over at eBay. Issue #699 in the task list for Templar Assault -- add a Free Look Lock. We'll get it figured out -- thanks for the report!
