that's kinda what I figured. oh well now its off to up my Mars rep & find their connectors. None for Mars (or any Corps) yet. Blue Ox, BS, Fennian, Los V, Yakuza. and half a connector in Streets. And a 'would love to sell you this cool wep, but your Az rep is too low.' All there is so far, sorry! I was wondering about the Ox, I played with BraveStar for a while but got tired of looking for their connectors. Right now I got an Ox rumor to ice a guy which I did but its stuck there iirc,

Did you go ice Johnson the Mole for Ricco? If so did you go back to talk to Ricco?

Someone who works for one of the factions will sell the Firewatch. He is a rare visitor to one of the VIP suites. If you really want to be told explicitly, someone can tell you offline. Otherwise, I will simply say that if you think about it carefully, you may be able to figure out where to look.
As for the rep, I have another tip. If you are getting jobs from Tuckmore's, and cancelling all KH and assassination jobs, you probably can't get much higher than 30 rep with LosV. I believe the probability of particular jobs changes with reputation, and at around 30 you lose rep canceling jobs at about the same rate as you gain from the jobs you accept. To get higher than 30, you will probably need to take more dangerous jobs, or jobs which take you further afield. Just do it carefully, and still avoid anything too dangerous. Or just keep doing the safe jobs from Tuckmore's until you get enough skill to feel safe doing those slightly more dangerous jobs.

@ahab - do you think it would help to have an XP minimum on jobs that would help starting characters -not- get these jobs that are too difficult?
We are always looking for ways to make the first hour in the game more fun and less ... opaque.

That's definitely an interesting idea. It might help the frustration of new players who simply take the first jobs they get and are disappointed when their assassination attempt blows up. I think it might be a good idea. But it might also be good to hear from some players who don't like to play on Brutal. I often use the accelerated start, and often push it further than I should.

There is a semi ladder for Mars much like Aztecs loyalty weapon. I wont say in public as to avoid spoiling the fun.

I forgot one important tip about getting your rep high with a faction. Stop looting the corpses when you kill/stun things. Do nothing but 'Stealth exit'. This greatly reduces the amount of heat you generate. You will also earn much more money by staying out longer than the odd drug, stim, or pistol ammo is ever worth.

Ok im up to 74 rep with los V and ive got the first 3 rewards.
Now another question as i think i might have found a bug. I've also been working for Mr. Texas Powers who wanted to give me a V-chip. I think it was investigator shahin. But i already had the contact and when i talk to him nothing happens. Is that normal??

vindalloo - yes, pretty normal. We have gotten better with contacts given out by ladders (most of them now get a special hello dialog) but this was one of the very first ladders, and I don't think Shahin has anything special to say. He will buy your Knight Horizon paydata if you have it.
