Hi, Longtime lurker.
Been playing this for awhile on my small android phone, and decided to give it a try on iPad. Just some thoughts about the iPad version (I think the android version is great!).
- no achievements yet, I think this was mentioned in an earlier thread
- the brightness is a little too bright for me. I don't know what it is (retina display) or whatever, but I've never really had brightness issues in other apps
- would like to be able to flip my iPad (not such a big deal, but would be nice)
- no notifications of conflicts
- notification on the bottom in the brown box seems a little too dark, and disappears too quickly
Was still fun though, played an hour before bed.
Looking forward to STRPG 2!

Thanks for posting! We're still working away at porting features from Android to iPhone and iPad -- achievements, multiple orientation support, advanced notification, starting ships and locked content. Future updates will include these features, as well as more options for controlling notification duration and other in-game behaviors. The brightness comment, I must admit, throws me for a loop and is the first time anyone has mentioned it. I will do some research to see if there is something we're doing that I'm not aware of that would impact the brightness. Our iPad's screen brightness doesn't adjust when launching ST and I have heard anything from any of the beta testers about this. One thing that might help us narrow it down is information about your device. Which type of iPad, which generation, which iOS version it has on it. Every Elite purchase goes towards the future development of ST RPG 2 for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. Thank you for playing and telling your friends (of all device types) about ST RPG

Sorry about the late response been busy at work. My ipad is 3rd generation iOS 6.01 model md417ll. I think it's the white buttons on the black screen I know on my android they are grey.

Hi, my 2 cents here. First of all, great game, I'm new user still trying to figure out how things work in the game. I'm using elite version on ipad and get beaten constantly. Just out of curiosity I downloaded few moments ago the free version on android. Android version looks, well, better and it is easier to understand what's going on. There are more infos on the screen, for example now I'm in the Spice district of De Voltos Prime, just started a new game on both the devices. Android version: I see that morale 10 is fanatical (on ipad I just get morale 10, no description) and I can see the bankroll, on the ipad I cannot. Maybe for you oldtimers is not a big deal but let me assure you that for me the more info I get on the screen the less I have to look around the forum. On the urban screen of android I have access of even more infos: there are ranks, stars and descriptions regarding the palace, economy, hall, secure and exchange, also I can access the first mate. More: info about trade wars and things like that on the android pop out in the middle of the screen, on ipad on the bottom where often i have my hands covering the text because there are buttons there. Combat: android version reports how many turns passed. To cut it short, android version seems more complete and looks like it's easier to understand what's happening. Zoom levels work better on ipad, maybe also spice is cheaper and entertainers prettier?

prometeo - thanks for the feedback! We know that the games are still not "in synch" yet and that there are lots of differences. We are working hard to bring the two together, and trying to use their version numbers to indicate the level of difference. So, the iPad version is at 2.1.1 right now I believe, where Android is in the 4.8.x family. Our next release for the App Store will leap up to 3.1.1 and add a ton of the missing stuff and work on bringing the two closer together. Star Traders is such a deep and complex game, its a major effort to get them to the same version number, but that is our goal and we promise to keep working hard on it!
