After I played around a bit on normal to start with, i saw there was some cool awards going on in the demanding setting that unlocked some ships and whatnot. Following this i worked my ass off as a explorer for the Javat Clan to get to level 6 asap with only the Vae Victus, and as i headed for awesome and beyond i died harshly in battle against a cranky Cadar pirate vessel ^^; But afaik i should have unlocked the following: *Hero of the stars award, as i was a ranking beyond Star Hero i think (Elite super epic dragoon-or other) with the Javat. *Rapid rank 1&2, as i worked my ass off to gain levels and rankings quickly and as far as i counted i should have passed both. *Hardcore captain, as i only used the vae victus ship through all six levels. This i am completely sure of as it says so in my captains death certificate But as my captains life came to an end an i tried starting a new one, i had gotten nothing :< Did i miss something to enable the awards? I got the elite version and is connected to internet at all times, as well as being a sucker for awards and achivements Just wondering if its gonna come later or if i did something weird? Otherwise, freakishly awesome game, kept me occupied all day yesterday so i barely got any sleep

To get the award to register you have to go to an urban area and enter the palace then hall of records and record exploits. I think it has to be done before the captain meets his end.

Update: Nevermind on the Star Hero thingie, scrolled through the captains log and i must have misread somewhere. I just have a vague memory of someone reckognizing me as a "Star Hero" when encountering a military ship.
Also i probably didnt get the levels fast enough because it seems i actually missed that i went into jail pretty early game, eating up a few years ^^;
But the hardcore captain thingy should still have been in effect. Unless one cannot even upgrade the vae victus, cause i stuffed as much cargo-expanders into it as i possibly could to get the most out of exploring wilderness.

The Captain must return to a Palace and share his stories with at least one Faction for them to be recorded the Book of Years and Central Database.
No Awards for those that die early.
There are two "personal reputation awards" - Explorer - Doctor
Those are awarded when they happen, no records keeping required.

Ahhh.... crap ^^; New explorer then! But on a sidenote, its damn easy making a name for oneself without bothering with conflicts, i had over 40 rating with 5/6 factions and the 6th i was really hated in I was over 150 rating with Javat Clan. I will just have to go at it again and be more efficient this time. Thanks for the reply!

Side question: For the Serpent tooth one, how do I know when the 22 years is up? Is there any way to check when the count starts so I don't need to keep Recording exploits every week to check?

You start in 57.1 AE, right? Would 58.1 AE be one year's time? You can check the Ship's Log and just make it to 79.1 AE, if 1 AE equals a single year's time.
Maybe the award should state the year you've got to hit as well as the time that must elapse.
How long is a 'turn?'
Also, I'm still having trouble with the Spy award. It shows that I've earned it (on Challenging which is higher than Demanding), but it doesn't show up as unlocked when I try to make a new Spy dude. All other awards seem to be unlocking properly.
