The map in ST RPG Elite is big ... heaps of destinations and sometimes the equivalent of a year of travel (52 turns). Bigger is the CK map size, and Biggest would be the Secrets of Steel ...

Unfortunetly cory can't make the map size any bigger. He can add planets, but with a few excepions the balance of deep-space to planets is pretty good. There is an area or two Id add a dead planet, fringe planet or wild planet but in terms of map size that can't change.

Hmm he could do what the infinite black did... make a seperate are as in you have to load it up... i just want a dead space like 100x100 of red space with fringe planets! Oh the joy

Actually, it'll also allow you to remote control your coffee machine, reduce global warming effects by 2.135%, and help Democrats and Republicans to get along. It's that last aspect that has been causing all of the delays in development. |

Please? Except in addition to big areas of indipedent deep-space and fringe/wild planets, there can be some faction planets as well, prehaps even some unknown factions. And to make it really cool, nothing on the "zoom map" would be on the outside map. (the map outside the main/starting map) unless you've been to it first. So ae you explore unknown territory more, you're map gets bigger and bigger. The amount of ideas I could have for such a provision are endless if you wanna hear some of them. |
