If all you are worried about is getting out of the tunnels, then don't worry! You do not have to complete any Negotiation missions to be let out of the tunnels. I almost never do any Negotiation missions in the story mode. All you actually need is a certain amount of Fennian Reputation. Skip the Negotiation missions, and do all the other missions, and you'll get out of the tunnels just fine.

Nope, still not working. My heat is at zero, negotiation is still 6, and I have failed negotiations twice at Dripside. Can't get out of the tunnels if I can't complete these missions! What is your Fennian reputation, and what is your MIND?

Actually, what Gravling said was to use the hotels until your Los V Reputation approached zero, not your Heat. Reputation will randomly decay toward zero as you sleep.

All you actually need is a certain amount of Fennian Reputation. By now I don't care whether it is a matter of reputation, heat or wearing a bucket on my head - I just want the story to move along! Maybe an XP or total bank trigger can be added to bypass this frankly ridiculous predicament? If there is a big event that ends the Tunnels arc, it can just trigger off being successful enough. In the meantime, how much Fennian rep do I need to keep moving? Flynn said something about 40, but I have gotten to 46 and he wouldn't let me move on to - well, whatever is next. I didn't mention it before because I assumed that it just triggers the negotiation missions. I keep getting ones that, after talking him up, always come to 1111. (I assumed that was the big kahuna, since it is the one that always fails...) I know this is a story in progress, so I am trying to bear with it - it just feels less and less like a game that beginners can just pick up and play, even with the tutorial.

We'll keep working on it -- we are definitely interesting in figuring out what is up with your saved game.
You've definitely hit on something we're trying to improve constantly -- making it a game that beginners can pick up on with some work.
Hopefully all the sage advice above in the thread about increasing the Mind statistic is making sense -- that is one of the critical components of successful Negotiation missions.
I am sincerely sorry (and I do feel personally bad about it) that you're finding the game frustrating and consider it a 'ridiculous predicament' we're doing everything we can to support and improve.
The last thing I can offer is a full and prompt refund of your Elite purchase if you are unhappy with the game overall.
Thanks for posting and being patient.

I just played around with a new character. It's only rep based. You can accept and then cancel every negotiation mission you are offered and still get enough rep to be let out of the tunnels. Has Mallor gone home yet? Because the game does wait until he is done with you. And you need over 50 to leave the tunnels, so you are almost there. Are you getting assasination and capture missions yet? Because they are the last.

Also make sure that Luka and Mercer don't want to talk to you. Letting you leave waits on conversations with them.

aaronious - thanks for all the feedback, we will be removing Negotiate from the missions in the tunnels in the next release. This should help!

Heaping coals, man - that last sentence just heaped coals! I apologize. I was having a rough day and ended up trolling a little bit. (It was a legitimate complaint, I believe, but I got a little bit overboard. I do NOT want a refund, because this game is worth playing despite its errors. In fact, even after my complaints yesterday I got two more people hooked on it because it is so fun. I know you feel bad about my experience, which is both why I feel bad (in my current, more levelheaded state, and also why I want to keep playing - that level of loyalty to your customers is very hard to find. So please, accept my apology, and keep doing what you are doing. On the flipside, removing the negotiation missions might just do the trick for the problem I am facing.

aaronious - thanks again and thanks for helping evangelize Cyber Knights to your friends and network. As a small indie shop, we live and die on word of mouth and social sharing. I feel confident that if we remove the Negotiation jobs, you should be able to get to 50 Reputation by doing the normal set of jobs, as they are more driven by traveling and fighting!

I am having the same problems, too, but I was careful to put XP to Body, Mind, Per, Dex, Strength, &Intelligence to higher levels before putting XP to the skills.
I acquired high heat in Los V from unavoidable encounters and assassination and capture jobs. I can't get it down since the only way I have to do that is alternate hotels, & everytime I go to Los V I have a unavoidable encounter. AT this point it doesn't really matter what job I take since any will bring me to Los V and there'll be one or more fights.
In addition to this, Fennian terriyory is ecperiencing what seems like an endless heatwave, so my heat goes up staying there! So it can only go down at los v hotel, but to get to it and bavk Ill have one or more violent encounters., whish

As was mentioned earlier, it is not strictly necessary to bring your Heat down in the tunnels. It is a fine thing if you can, since it makes missions easier, but it is not that hard to survive and get out of the tunnels with high Heat. And since Negotiation missions have been removed from the tunnel Connector, there is no mission in the tunnels which is impossible due to high Heat or bad Reputation. So, just keep going, do your missions, jump through all the hoops your Connectors and Fixers want, and get out of the tunnels. You can drop your Heat in VIP rooms and Hotels once you get to the NBZ.

marikolily - the fact that the tunnels are still getting Heat Waves (or any rumor actually) is the one of our biggest story issues right now. It's getting a lot of people stuck and then they can't make it to the NBZ. We are working on fixing this one! Also, you can go to the Black Row and purchase a Safe House there, which is just l ike a hotel. Therefore, you can bounce back and forth between Fennian territory and your new Safehouse until your Heat goes down. You're target is 50 Fennian Reputation, if it helps to know your final goal! If you are getting capture / assassination missions you are -so close-!!!

Thanks for advice - it really helped.
Sorry to say I have a new problem now. Can't advance any further - stuck. I am doing endless assassination and capture jobs now after Mallor came and left, saying I wsd ready to go up now and so did Luka, Mercer, and Flynn. Flynn said he wanted me to a couplr jobs for him first, and had to have rep 50, and do kill jobs. My rep fills the s lot with green bars, but there isn't any way to check the numerical vslue of my rep with Fenns! Please fix this. I've been successfully doing assassination and capture jobs a couple days now, and all day since Mallor left, and no progress in story or released to go upside! I'm stuck, and don't know why. I win all the fights and only use weapons that knock them out vs. Kill. Is that why? What am I doing wrong? Is this a glitch? Played easy levels under custom. Elite beta. Samsung Galaxy 3. Android. Tell me if u need more info. Can't sell snything in shops wo game force closing. Thank you so much!
