I have a question: My Explore-and-raid game just got ended by a ramming Dagger, so I just saw the new Profession abilities:
What does the "Special Surveillance ability for contracts" that the bounty hunter and Mil Off do? I thought it was the ability to look at all contracts before choosing to accept or not, but that's not the case (or at least not at rank 1...)
What is it?
Thank you

If you use "Surveillance" successfully in a Sector where you have a Contract these character classes can Track Contract Targets.
1. Take Bounty 2. Reach Destination 3. Surveillance until Records about Target Produced 4. Attempt Contract 5. If Contract Failed, Re-Attempt Allowed 6. You can use Surveillance AGAIN here, to repeat
This lets you avoid the random lucky escape of a target.

Thanks.
Forces the Hunter-killers to take Electronics around too huh?
Hmm...

Cory, can you fix the "special surveilance ability" not working (no surveilance button) on planets like Kalflange Outpost or Aro Prime (and many more I presume), as well as in deep space (red)? Or is it by desing? "Even the best of the best bounty hunters can't track anybody in dangerous deep space, or outposts"

Ah, haven't found your post, I was searching under "bugs" not "wishlist". Thanks for clearing up that surveillance option doesn't show up only for independent territory. That should make my life easier (not taking bounty hunting missions against independents or if so, calculating the risk of loosing the target).

jerry -- I kinda like that choice. cynik -- Like I posted on your thread, I agree. However, after reading Jerry's commentary (well reasoned, btw) I am starting to think that there will be a penalty to the %. Think spying on Mos Isley ... not easy!

Of course there can be a penalty, but anyway, it should be possible

So, I'm trying to be a Spy on Crazy and I can't spy to save my life. I'm getting records maybe one out of six tries and Steel Song baddies about one out of four.
What are the factors that affect surveillance? I've got a slightly upgrades Spy Captain's tactics and stealth and five tons of electronics onboard. I thought I'd be getting more records. (Javat's got a record shortage and so do I!)
