So, just started the tutorial and thought it could be a little better. It should explain the controls and the options that you can select like what each button does and a little clearer on how to reload weapons and where it shows how much ammo you have. Haven't figured this out yet. So help?

Thanks for the post. We're working on improving the tutorial.
You can press the gun icon and it will show you your ammo under "Carried" and "Equipped."
In combat, you press the "Reload" button which appears when you are targeting enemies.

I don't see any ammo listed for carrying, no reload button. Looked to buy ammo and it looks like its only for elite members. Not a great way to promote upgrading to elite, just saying.

mikelrysk - there must be some confusion, because none of the ammo in the game is reserved for Elite members only. I just checked the code-base again for that fact. Can you tell me why you think that is the case? Ammo is sold in packs of different sizes (5, 25, 75, etc). When you purchase a pack, it is put into your carried inventory. When you use the pack from your inventory, it is loaded into your character's Cyberloader and ready for use in combat. If you got to your equipped page, can scroll down below the armor you are wearing and see your Cyberloader, which will list the amount of currently loaded ammo of the three types. Your guns are always loaded. Whenever a combat starts, you have full clips. So you only have to worry about reloading -in- a combat. When in a combat, you can click the "Attack" button which will bring up all the attack options, and highlight your possible targets in read. However, it also brings up some more buttons on the bottom user interface, including "Switch" which will change your current weapon and "Reload" which will reload both of the weapons you are holding. Also, when you are in combat, you can see your current ammo counts on the left HUD, where it says A1: X and A2: X. These are the ammo counts for your currently held weapon, and the weapon you could Switch too. Hope this helps!!!

I don't see a hyprtloader in my inventory under my captain or any other members. I go to store and the only ammo buy is for 75 and says Elite only. I think it says captain only as well. You were talking about Template Assault, right?

mike - oh crud! So sorry, both Cory and I were blathering on about Cyber Knights =( We are used to "Tutorial" being discussed as the Made, Not Born story in CK. Yes, the TA tutorial could definitely be better. The weapon you are currently using is shown as an icon in the HUD by your character's face. The amount of ammo left over is the number floating there. Once in the level, you can't normally reload (you just run out of bulllets! -- so finish the levels quickly). However, there are some special items that will let you reload during combat. I agree that the tutorial needs some work. We will take a look at it soon to try to make it better.

This time, posting about Templar Assault (sorry about that)
Thanks for the post. We're working on improving the tutorial. Right now the Templar tutorial campaign covers the game basics, moving and shooting, commanding basic Templar Knights and finishing levels.
The Ammo for your weapon is shown over top the weapon icon. Hand to hand weapons, like Axes and Swords, do not have any ammo so nothing is shown.
Other weapons will show the remaining ammo in two places -- in the heads up display (HUD) on the left side of the screen next to the Knight's Portrait. When you are targeting an enemy, the amount of ammo in your Knight's alternate weapon is shown in the button at the bottom of the screen.
The ammunition packages sold for Honor points in the armory do not allow reloading, they simply add to the total starting ammo for the Knights in your squad (Soldiers and Scouts.)
Reloading during a level is not normally possible, with the exception of squads that have a Naval Officer Captain. That Captain profession can reload his squad's weapons using the "Special" button, like the Chaplain can heal their HP and the Exo Scout can boost their AP. Other than that, reloading is not necessary for a Templar. All the ammo they have is immediately available and their is no need to reload.
Great suggestions and re-building the Tutorial (or adding a second one) are definitely things we are working on. Some of the items that are not covered in the Tutorial yet are:
- Hydra - Neptune - Advanced Targeting - Berserkers - Doctor Kits - Atreus Armor - Warding Armor - Shields - Hyperloaders - Tactical Displays - Ammo Kits - Chaplain Special Power - Naval Officer Special Power (Reload) - Scout Special Power (AP Booster)

select help on your TA main menu scroll down to a section called ammunition in this section the statements basically say what you see is what ya got.. in the help file it also has a section for class abilities where reloading is referenced as the naval vetetans ability. in the armory ammo kits are descibed as adding ammo. ammo kits after purchase are accessible by selecting a TK in the squad menu (touch the head) then select gear and activate your ammo kit. when you select your mission you will start with more ammo. these guys do not cripple the free version to push you into purchase you get hours of play for free and only1 permission, you also are not blasted with ads to beat you into submission for $! the help file is very ... ummm ...helpful !

Correction, the 25 and 50 ammo can be bought, but no hyperloader and the ammo is only for Elite. Can we get the 25 ammo released for the free, or something. Can't seem to make it through the gauntlet to deliver the stuff I got from the previous mission. I know CKRPG takes most of your time, but this is a good game and will be great with a little TLC. Just asking, but wanting really bad, or something else equally awesome.

extra ammo kits and the special classes didn't even exist when I got TA so I didn't know that. Its possible though to make it without them. I'm stepping out here because im not a developer of this project but perhaps tactics may be an issue you as commander have to manage resources that's the strategy part. don't forget your melee capabilities and unit placement. I've run out of ammo with the packs you cannot always engage with the guns sometimes you gotta get your hands dirty and crack some skulls! don't forget your captains blade! good luck!

So I need high tactics in order to be better? I apologize I didn't mean the tactics attribute( although this attribute is the core of your TK) , I meant player strategy and implement of command you have to use all your tools and it is somewhat frustrating in the beginning but once you increase your attributes and earn some dough (for stuff like guns with higher ammo capacity) and learn how the xenos move its not as rough. hope that helps

I just got started on the tutorial, (downloaded it a couple of weeks ago). After the first movement tutorial, I have 350 honor. The only items listed that do not say ELITE ONLY are the Technologists Doctor Kits. Usable only by the Templar Chaplin, who is available in ELITE ONLY. So the only things I can purchase with the honor are totally useless to me on the free version. I'll continue on, but it seems to me the the free version won't do much to prepare you for elite. If I buy it, I'll have to start at square one again. I'll know better after I finish the tutorial.
