I'm not sure if my problem is directly related to this or not, but I have similarly gotten stuck on the taxi out.

First I finished up the tasks for Mallor. He tells me I'm ready to go topside. Talked to Flynn, he says complete more tasks. I do so. I get all the upgrades I can from "back alley" or whatever that area is called. Eventually kidnaps and assassinations open up with Flynn. Later I talk to Luka and Mercer, both say I should go topside. Whenever I talk to Flynn he says something along the lines of "I can give you jobs, but we both know you should go topside". It was late at night so I don't remember this precisely, but I'm pretty sure he already given me a longer speech about how I'm ready to go topside as well. I go to the taxi place, and theres no dialogue present except leave building and asking the guy for his card. The back alley or whatever the "secret shop area" is called, I am no longer able to visit. Also, I am pretty sure that Flynn never actually told me to go to the taxi shop, the dialogue just seemed to drop off with people telling me I need to go topside, and never telling me how to do it.

Seemed fun. I made another game where I just start out in New Boston but I didn't like the fact I started out without any of my old xp/stuff, in a zone that belongs to "the enemy" from my previous story. Plus, it sounded like the storyline was going to continue in New Boston since Luka told me I was going to work for the Fenians topside. I really doubt any fix will help my game, but I am just hesitant to make a new game not knowing whether I would be able to leave the underground or not.

I think we have fixed every issue that has been reported, so I wouldn't give up on us just yet since we only learned about your situation today.

I'll have a discussion with Andrew about this turn of events and we'll see if we can get you unstuck with the next release.

Well I wish I could take back my post because it seems to have resolved itself.

When I quit out to confirm what version of android I had, that was the first time I had restarted the game in quite a while (I don't use this particular phone for much of anything). First thing I did when i started it up was talk to Flynn, and he tells me to get over to the taxi. All fixed

Kind of embarrassing considering how quickly it corrects itself after I made a post here. However I can assure you that I was firmly stuck for a while here. I changed back and forth between the new knight I made and my original knight from the "made, not born" scenario, yet I kept having the same bug. Tried it yesterday afternoon, last night, this morning, always the same. Making a forum account here was a last resort because I am a bit lazy, but I felt you guys should know.

And then, bam, it works...I assume its because I quit the game and then restarted but who knows for certain. Either way, sorry to waste any of your time. Going ahead and buying this and ST for the trouble.

tman - thanks for reporting that it is fixed. There is something very weird going on with the transition point to the NBZ and it is now the most common point of problem. I am going to sink a few hours into it this weekend to try to put out a patch that might help.

Quick question -- are you on Elite or Free?

To add just one more wrinkle to this...

I just downloaded Elite. At the time I didn't know I could import my character from the Free edition, so I loaded up the Free version to finish up the underground area. Remember when I said everything was fixed before? I was wrong. Since Flynn told me to head to the taxi earlier, I figured everything was back to normal. It wasn't. I go to the taxi place, and still, couldn't head to NBZ. The dialogue option was not present to click.

I just shrugged it off since I now have elite and figured I might need to start over anyhow. Then I am surprised to find out I can import my character into Elite. I do so. I am still at the taxi station, and it gives me the option to go to NBZ. So in the elite version it works. Wanting to be a good little bug tester, I decide to quit out of Elite and go to the free version again. I try quitting and reloading the free version twice more, and both times the taxi was not present to NBZ.

Right before I made this post I realized I need to go ahead and test the Elite version to make *certain* it will take me to NBZ when I click that option. It does in fact, take me to NBZ. So, my problems have been fixed, but only by upgrading to Elite.

What this all means, I've no idea. I am confused, and I imagine you guys are even moreso.

tman - this might actually be the crux of the problem. I will check if the taxi dialog that was added to get you out of the NBZ if you reached 75 Rep for the Fennians is "Elite only" and may not show up for Free characters. Hopefully there will be a release at the end of the weekend with some fixes
