Okay, while I was doing a routine sweep of a base with my unit, I couldn't help but get disgruntled by the fact that no sooner had I cleared a path with a knight, a Xeno spawned behind him the very next turn.
I got to thinking ... we had that discussion a while back about being able to blow up Xeno spawn points, but I had another idea. If we take a leaf out of the Battlefield game franchise, what would you think of being able to "capture" spawn points from the Xenos.
Player sits on a specific spawn point for 1 turn. It becomes Inert (player sealed the breach). However, if a Xeno moves past the breach, they have the ability to re-create the breach.
Another option would be to be able to open/close doors on maps, but that's already logged as an enhancement request.
