Must have missed the boat somehow  I can't recall Mercer telling me to do this. Oh well must be stuck with only one taxi then. |

If you are lucky, you can acquire OTHER cabbies v-cards along the way. I have 5, myself. Got them in random Encounters when V-cards were passed. And, I have noticed that they are faction based, and will respond better the more favorable your Rep is with that faction. Example: I have HIGH rep with the Fenns, and I have a Fenn cabbie contact. He comes to me even when Heat is bad, and almost never is busy. On the other side of the coin, I have a Yakuza cabbie contact who seems to always be busy, even when I have NO Heat. Probably doesn't help my Rep with the ol Yak's is over -120....  I hope this helps. |

In that case your problem is that you have heat -- though maybe not enough to show as a red bar on the HUD. Quarter Speed hates heat. He doesn't care if the Yakuza hate your guts, though, except that it will make getting his taxi not work when you are in Yakuza zones. |
