Its an absolute pleasure to play your games - ensuring you can continue to keep improving and making more games is something I'm happy to help with. Especially as it doesn't bring me away from 4X for too long anyway. ..

I took a look at the page from a non-Apple device and saw 93 reviews. o.0
Anyway, leave it to Apple to forcing "streamline" the process whether you like it or not. -_-;

Hi! My first post here, as I just found the forums... I found the game completely by chance, and have since bought elite on both iPhone and android. I left the second review for the current version (3.1.1) on the iPhone. anyway I love what you're doing with this game, its crazy awesome and I'm (hopefully) getting better at it. Oh my god! I was so cute!

I'll consider doing a review soon. Have just gotten the game and read the manual. I used to play "Star Trader" on Palm - much less complex. I often use my iPad Pro, and it would be really really nice if there were a landscape mode that could be use. Also have an iPad Air that is often in landscape because that's just how iPad covers seem to work.
I don't play many games. They tend to be either quick shoot-me ups or slower turn-based games. I don't have time to play anything that has an external game clock going. Can't afford time to worry about being attacked when I'm working.

gnubee - if you enjoy turned based games, don't miss Templar Battleforce and Heroes of Steel! Welcome to the forum!

Thank you. Right now I'm just working on familiarizing myself with gameplay in an easy mode. For me, it's all about time budgeting. If/when I get good at this, I will look at the others. But no more mass multi-player games. It takes way too much time hosting winning alliances and programming the bots that everybody says they don't use (shocked! . . . shocked!). And then waking up at 3:30 AM because 3 enemy cities have suddenly appeared next to yours and even though the bot can defend, it can't call/coordinate with allies.
But enough of that.

Have no fear, so far all the Trese Brothers games are single player and turn based. They also all offer a wide range of difficulty choice from a very casual easy to hardcore Nightmare/Impossible allowing the player to find a level that suits their play style and time. Welcome to the forums and heres hoping you'll stick around to enjoy the great community.

Game Design Thoughts -
I am not sure if it's just because I'm a Newbie (Gnubee), or if it's just iOS, or if it's a common problem, but I find it somewhat frustrating getting back to and/or using the navigation. I've been testing on iPhone 6+ and on iPad Air. There doesn't seem to be an obvious way to get to the screen where I can MOVE THE SHIP to another place. If I hit back enough, I can find a nav button.
TOUCHING and HOLDING the screen over a planet rarely gets me the info I want. The Waypoint Set message does come up, but I can't tell from the docs if this is a single variable (the next waypoint) or if it's stored on a stack. I'd like to be able to control this better. Also, if I want to go to a particular location for a contract (1,1) I don't see any coordinates on the grid.
Finally, I don't like to have to use some OTHER app or physical paper and pencil to keep track of rumors or to make other notes. An internal notepad would be nice, or some screen like the OPTIONS that would let me see that stuff.
Really Finally, what's the best way to move on the nav screen, and what are the implications of using touch to zig zag through green vs having it just take off with a waypoint?
See, I really am thoughtful about this. Oh yeah, years ago I helped the REDSHIFT guys by editing all of the bad English in one of their game apps. And in real life, I used to be a product manager, so I have a clue about testing.

Using the grid icon to zoom out will let you tap on a sector to show its info, with the option to set a navpoint (it's a single variable, not a stack). In the main zoomed in view, tapping will move the ship. auto-nav should prioritise green spaces for optimal fuel consumption iirc. The lack of coordinates kinda suck, but they are visible from the sector info screen. Also the list of planets is sorted by distance to you, and I believe this gives coordinates. Rumours are stored under status->cargo->rumours I believe. I think this was all your questions, if I missed anything just ask! Also welcome!

...we may be few, we may be younger than you, our veteran brethren, but our resolve in exterminating the Xeno shall never falter...
- Templar Officer Fabienn Quicksilver
Quicksilver was negotiating a truce with a Templar patrol arresting his captain for suspected narvidian artifacts in the ships internal computer systems. Despite the distrust of the patrol ship at the unfamiliar 'iOS' platform the captain of the patrol overcame his concerns as Xeno ships appeared on the scanners, forging an uneasy alliance with the xeno hunter.
Shaluns Tooth and Fruit of the Hunt were lost with all hands a few weeks later as they stumbled into the vanguard of a Terrox strike force, however tales of the bonds forged in their final hours would echo through the stars for a thousand lifetimes
