In iOS version the number of version is 3.3.1, while in Android it,s about 4.9.xxx
Did iOS version is an older version or just the Apple store not allow submit higher number?
Just curious.

era101 - the version difference is actually because the Android version has been around for 2.5 year years and received hundreds of updates. Because of the size and scope of the game, it was impossible to port it all in one go to the iOS devices. Therefore, we first released a Star Traders 1.0 to the App Store. We have done about 4 releases now to the App Store (2.1, 3.1, and now 3.3.1). The version numbers are still very significant. When the App Store reaches 4.9.x it will be feature-for-feature the same as the Android version, or better in some places. We have already ported three enhancements that were made on the App Store version over to Android. You can also see by the jump in version numbers (and the size of the What's New logs on iOS) that we are taking giant steps toward catching up. I've got the game on both devices, and the Android version is ahead of the iOS version a bit. Don't get me wrong, the iOS version is plenty of game and plenty of fun (I actually play it more frequently since my iPhone comes with me everywhere), and it IS catching up pretty rapidly. I don't regret buying either version.
I do know that the updates for iOS have each been pretty large. Each one has added additional features along with the bug fixes and general enhancements, and we can expect the iOS version to reach the same level as the Android version pretty quickly.
Now that I sound like a salesman I'll show myself out.

I play both, having bought both and I can say while the android is more up to date, the IOS version is in no way less playable. It just goes to show how good this game is.
