jerryFrom what I gather, Cory was saying that it is cheaper to heal one at a time, but in the scenario cory posted it is infact 4,000 more to heal them one at a time than if you did them all at once.

As I understand it, the math goes like this: Price for healing a single wound rises by 1000 credits each time you take another wound. So for example healing one wound when you have 9 health is about 5000 creds (on insane, with minimal rank and neutral status). Healing one wound when you have 8 health is 6000 creds. Healing one wound when you have 7 health is 7000 creds, and so on. If you decide to heal them only one wound per visit, each time price drops, and costs you 1x7000 + 1x6000 + 1x5000 = 18,000, or even better, if you decide to heal them as soon as you are injured (health 9), the cost is 1x5000 + 1x5000 + 1x5000=15,000 However if you don't heal them in time, allow to accumulate 3 wounds and then decide to heal them all at once, the price doesn't drop and it costs you 3x7000=21,000 That said - you can't have several visits in the same turn, because the doctor needs to regenerate (whatever that means). And price on other planets might be quite higher, because faction standing has direct impact on the price.
That's when the Excellent Patient award is usefull.

Do I have to earn Excellent Patient with each captain or is it effective for everyone once you earn it once?
