Fixes reported crashes, sorry

It does fix my reported crash, but, shields still have one ammo when wielded, you can attack with shields again, but it crashes the game to the start screen. The games internal crash report sent, Samsung Galaxy Precedent (seem to only play Angband on my tablet lately.)

Where oh where oh where do you see Ammo for shields?

When I'm at attack range with my Berserker, a xeno targeted, the shield 'switch' button says 'Switch
Ammo: 1'

I can't find it in carried inventory anymore, at least!
