So I apologize if this has been talked about in the past, but I have been thinking. As it is we have a lot of delivery or escort missions, but aside from the pick up missions we don't ever actually receive the package or person. This is ok if we are getting the job from the connector personally, but usually I use the phone to get all my jobs. This can make it a little... strange. For instance, escort missions. How does the VIP get to my location? If he travels by himself then he really doesn't need my help getting to his destination. Delivery missions could feasible make a certain amount of sense because we could be data couriers in that regard.
So, why not make the knight have to go pick up the VIP? I know it would take more time, soIaye up the price a little bit? A 10-20% price increase would make it ok. If possible make the VIP always start in the connector's territory.
As a side benefit, you guys could implement a new kind of mission, an extraction mission. Have it be the other way around, from someone else's territory back into the connector's territory. Maybe even have the heat for that mission applied when accepting the contract, thus making it a more dangerous mission in general. Again, you could up the pay in order to balance the added danger.
Just an idea I had. Again, sorry if this has been talked about in the past.

Decided to clean up the OP and put my general ideas/thoughts up here to keep everything organized. Feel free to criticize/comment/post your own thoughts!
#1 Escort jobs Why not make the knight have to go pick up the VIP? Possibly increase pay 10-20% to offset the extra movement required. If possible make the VIP always start in the connector's territory.
#2 Data Courier jobs Maybe change the wording when delivering data from "I have a message for you" to "I have your data" or something similar?
#3 Info pop-ups for first-time contracts Possibly include a little blurb when accepting each specific job? Something similar to how MnB does it, a pop up when starting the contract. This pop up would only occur the first time a particular kind of job is accepted, and would act as a mini tutorial and a vehicle for giving the player a little lore.
#4 Hacking jobs Something akin to surveillence in ST, have a job requiring the Knight to go to a specific data node and gather some kind of information (paydata? Security data? ) and bring it back to the source. Maybe pay similar to an assassination/capture mission?
