Would you like a personnel carrier with 500 crew and no torps?

Though 500 might be excessive.

And yeah, actually I would like that. Although like ncaoa said, 500 crew might be a bit excessive. I think Id be okay with 499 crew

Thanks for the agility tip. Avoiding ram is much more important than chasing escaping ships.

Actually, funny you say that...
Did you know that agility and pilot helps for advancing at long range when the enemy retreats? Having a quick ship and high pilot, I'm able to always advance on enemies. However, for retreating at long, thats almost all stealth and speed.
Stealth and speed might help advance vs retreat at long range as well, but I'm not sure. So far I've only done testing on pilot. I'll do some testing on stealth and post the results.

That I didn't know. I assumed speed assisted more with pursuing the enemy, though logically agility and skill (Pilot) would be more beneficial than flying a straight (albeit fast) line.
Not sure about stealth. Cant help there.

Big crew as in 200+. I believe out of the 10 200+ crew ships, the last one was the carnifex cruiser, which was added January 2012. The biggest crew ship after that were the flagships, topping at 160 (cadar). And I searched all 20 150+ crew ships in the updates section, and excluding the flagships there aren't any there were released 2013 or 2012.
Not to say there haven't been cool ships though. There have been plenty of ships released this year alone that have been awesome, like the tiberia jammer, the fast/quick ship with 52 engines and sails, and the harbinger cruiser mk2, with 28 armor, 51 sails and 45 torps. And don't even get me started on the dreadnought and harbinger cruisers, I was drooling over those!

Funny. As if on cue, I asked the ship calculator what was next and ... ships with 202 Crew popped out. So ... there you go. Ironic, but I do what it says and you say what it does. So, we all win EDIT: Changed "enqueue" to "on cue" ... Gravling would have had a field day with that one
