So, some of us have heard about the deadly alien ArghBlargle, named after the sound made by its victims when it attacks. But, did you know a newly-discovered species exists which is related to it?
The discovery was made when an explorer team was able to successfully kill an ArghBlargle. They lost a fair few men, but were excited about bringing back a rare ArghBlargle hide, as they are actually quite valuable to collectors.
As they were working on skinning the carcass (and possibly taking some choice cuts of meat due to low rations, some reports say), a larger and more fearsome alien came out of hiding and attacked the remnants of the explorer party. Ultimately, only a couple of the expedition team members were able to escape, badly injured and frightened beyond the capacity for speech.
The following is a rough sketch of what the two survivors describe as the newly named WharrGarbl alien, shown in context, attacking the party as they spray it with all the firepower available to them. Please remember that this was reported by two half-dead and half out of their mind survivors, so we cannot be sure that this is a true representation of what it looks like, but there are no other sightings to compare to, so we are showing what was described to us:
It is speculated that the WharrGarbl may actually be an adult form of the ArghBlargle, which in itself is terrifying, as the ArghBlargle is a fearsome foe in its own right. An research mission is being planned by a crack alien science team to the wilds of Caabhosi (10, 2), as this is where the encounter is said to have occurred. It is rumored that the science team will be accompanied by a Space Navy brigade for defense, and they will attempt to capture one alive if at all possible.
