Dreams destroyed by Thulun...

Thulun. The clan that always destroys my dreams. Four generations of captains, all destroyed by Thulun.

Following this guide (http://startradersrpg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tips&action=display&thread=3968), my dream of rushing the Cadar Battlecruiser came into fruition. I managed to Explore resources, finished quests, blew ships that stood in my way. When I set my sights on the Cadar Flagship, Thulun blew up my battlecruiser.

Sure I blockaded their ports. Sure I surveyed their terrain. Sure I liked to capture, plunder and enslave their crew on a weekly basis, but, is it enough to dash ones dreams of flying one of those shiny, awe-inspiring, terror-striking Flagships?

These setbacks only make more determined to rush the Flagship and start raining torps of terror and guns of doom to Thulun warships. Whether they be warships, explorer ships, pirate ships, merchant ships, any ship that flies the colors of Thulun will be hunted down and eliminated. Same goes to other clans.

What say you, Thulun?

I feel you, my man. Glad my guide helped you, and I understand your grudge against Thulun. Mine is Steel Song, they always, always, always embargo whomever I want to trade with. My captains usually devolve into giant bullies that will gut and Steel Song (or, as I like to call them, the SS) ship on sight.

Finally able to purchase the Cadar Flagship... Now to ramp up the upgrades and start bombarding Thulun ports, plundering Thulun ships, etc.

Played till 2AM to finally get the flagship (yeah, that's how I like this game), call me addicted, but it was totally worth it.. ;D

I've been thinking, for a long time, of making a Steel Song oriented story. What puts me off is the amount of research I'd have to do, plus I already working steadily on CK forums in the Cerberus thread.

And ... let's be honest ... I play Cadar most of the time. Killing Steel Song is like my bread and butter. I have spent DAYS, literally, going back and forth over Steel Song territory feeding my joy of slaughter.

On the other hand, very traitorously, I -love- playing DeValtos I always picture my captain taking a champagne bubble bath before artfully sighting, like a complete snot, in regret for having to let -attendants- dress him for combat.

"My word! What a dreadful noise. Quick, Gaston, cancel the proximity alert before this infernal racket causes me indigestion!"
