May we use this thread for links showing the progress of science, technology, biology, etc that gets us one step closer to the reality of our cyberpunk future. Thanks, ~LordofSyn **http://m.guardiannews.com/science/2013/mar/28/transistor-biological-device

From ntsheep(on a deleted thread): Just wondering if anyone else has seen this bit of news going around the past few days, gizmodo.com/5992911/new-dna+based....human-computersThanks for the heads up fallen. If you want to take this down and merge the threads go ahead. Better to have all this stuff in one thread than spread across several. As a tech junkie myself I find this all very cool but somewhat scary.

I think this article really fits in with this thread. Modern scientists no longer refer to the Singularity Event as the Big Bang Theory.

Old story now, but TrackingPoint are producing precision guided firarms (PGF) that use a tracking scope connected to the firing mechanism of some hunting rifles. The result is target tracking and computer-aided firing - effectively giving you the capability of consistently hitting targets at 1000 yards! arstechnica.com/gadgets/2013/01/17000-linux-powered-rifle-brings-auto-aim-to-the-real-world/The products are almost scary in their capabilities, and are only first-generation.
