www.howstuffworks.com/dna-computer.htmSomething I learned about couple years ago while taking classes for my networking degree. To be honest it has me worried about job security because DNA based computers add an entirely differnt level needed to troubleshoot and maintain computers and thier networks. If this advancement becomes mainstream expect tech support careers to be run by people with Dr. in front of thier name.

While I support the idea that the brain is the closest thing we've got to a quantum computer, I'm not buying the Field of Consciousness. I can see where the idea's coming from, and it does explain some things, but I just don't think it's right. It's certainly possible though, so I'm not wholly dismissing it.

While I support the idea that the brain is the closest thing we've got to a quantum computer, I'm not buying the Field of Consciousness. I can see where the idea's coming from, and it does explain some things, but I just don't think it's right. It's certainly possible though, so I'm not wholly dismissing it. I can infer, at least, two different meanings from the possibility of a Quantum Field as the basis for the mind. There are others, of course, but going to theorize on these two. 1. The soul and the 'concept of spirituality' is quantum based. 2. There is no soul or spirit or any such theological energy. There is only quantum mechanics/physics. It is important to understand that if this Theory is observed to be true, Atheists can call it the final proof against the divine. It destroys the last unexplained hurdle of the human body. At the same time, those who BELIEVE can argue that quantum fields are a way the divine manifests. That our minds are projections of the 'other' and that quantum mechanics is the medium of such projections. It would be the linking of the divine with the physical world. It could be the 'proof' of divinity required to link it to the material plane without mumbo jumbo and supposition. I find this duality rather fascinating. rabid
