Actually, I'm thinking a lot about this now. The only other place I've seen one was at Kashtisha (sp?), a Rychart planet. They even threw in a really dapper cat-fur hat, for free. I just couldn't turn it down.

LOL... mine was almost in last place I looked. Started from bottom right cluster, went clockwise in a full circle all the way to Salveria Prime (Javat), then Slayernz was #97 out of 100 ships on auction there.

I just checked at my current level:
Carnifex (225 crew), 1.81 WF in green, 6.05 in red
Slayernz with Military Crew Retrofit (155 crew), 1.22 in green, 3.19 in red.

Slayernz still works best for me. With cargo +20%, I even have room for 90 weapons. Maybe I'll re-evaluate in another 10-20 levels.

I can't help myself, I have to pull a Gravling here and point out that the name is spelled Slayarz Cruiser, not Slayernz Cruiser.

I think we should leave the knit-picking to badgers. I find whenever someone else tries it, they often get it wrong (three fingers pointing back at me). I think the Slayarz Cruiser has been renamed. Have you seen one recently? I'm pretty sure they're now Slayernz Cruisers. I'll see if I can find one and take a screen shot.

hahaha ... never actually saw what the Slayarz cruiser looks like. It looks like a wickedly good sword hilt - you should see it with full afterburners!

@blast, sorry that sounded a little crabby, wasn't actually meant to be. I just thought it was funny because I pulled a Grävling on Slayer last week, but it turns out I was wrong. And I'm not convinced yet that you aren't wrong. When did you buy that ship? I remember when they were slayarz cruisers but I'm pretty sure they've been renamed now. I've got three of them between different captains, but the problem is I've renamed them all. But I'll be keeping my eye out for another one.

No worries, water under the bridge, my friend. That one has been in the stable for at least a couple months, but that screenshot is from the current version of the game, and I've seen it at least once for sale in the last couple weeks. Funny, I post that and slayernz gets his first look at his namesake, and you post a pic in another thread where I get the first look at my namesake, LOL.

Ok, I just flew 29 AU and razed a Pirate Blitecruiser to get this screenshot for slayernz so he could see the specs. I can't remember what upgrades I added, but I don't think they would have been anything but crew or cargo upgrades.

Huh, that's really odd. I'm also using the latest version on Android and it's definitely spelled as Slayernz here. Just bought the ship like two days ago. I specifically remember (and double-checked just now), cos I didn't know how to pronounce the name, and also thought it didn't really fit in with the other ship names. Didn't occur to me that it was special till I came on to the forum and noticed slayernz. I can post a screencap if you're interested (you'll have to tell me howl.

Oh, also, it's listed as Slayarz Cruiser on the 4.9.2 ship list, so yeah, possible it's been changed since then.

So, we're all both right AND wrong on this one. I just found another one, and it IS named the Slayernz Cruiser. But, I have one in the same dock, named the Slayarz Cruiser. Here's the screenshot, try not to lose your minds due to the tear in the time-space continuum.

Oh, and I have Advanced Sail System, Sail Command Probe, and 20% Cargo Hold upgrades on the Slayarz.

Awesome ... thanks for the screenshots of the cruiser. I can see it would be amazing for encounters - if you have decent pilot skills, you would almost certainly dominate encounters because the engines to hull ratio (EHr) is great.

It wouldn't be very efficient in travel though- default sails to hull ratio (SHr) is poor, so the ole recommendation is that this should be a blockade/assault class ship, rather than a cargo hauler.
