Awesome - though I've run into a problem, in that the game keeps crashing and returning me to the connection screen (before I actually access the Matrix, the one that shows me the node name and my computer). It's not at any specific point, just at random moments. My phone's pretty old, so I tried it on the Bluestacks program on my computer, and the same happened - also, I've yet to actually see the security features, so it may be at those points. I was hacking VoIP Switch for Mars on my phone, and Star-NET on Bluestacks.

OK, I've just been running the Yakashima nodes - I see what you mean. Got force-disconnected from the Matrix, heat of 46, didn't know until then I had 2 MP. I think I'll be a little more careful in future.

Hi all, Here's where I'm at with it. Obviously a little rearranging to do still. And since it is a moving target, it is probably already out of date. But, hey... you got to start somewhere. Attachments:

Brilliant. Always good to see a fellow Matrix hacker - if you're ever in need, I'm always willing to help out a fellow digital ghost.

Brilliant. Always good to see a fellow Matrix hacker - if you're ever in need, I'm always willing to help out a fellow digital ghost. If you don't mind, I was flailing around the Matrix yesterday (yes, I really do mean flailing- arms spinning and everything) and gained copious amounts of heat that doesn't seem interested in going away. I had a toast about some squad being dispatched to off me but I didn't see them and happily continued flailing on the Matrix-webz... which is likely why I have so much heat pretty much everywhere but BS and Fenns. What hit squad was I supposed to fight? Do I need to completely leave the system to keep files before I'm forcefully booted? I've been using traditional methods to shed heat (by the 80s!) but it doesn't seem to be effective? Help? Save my poor Hacker-runner from himself and mediocre hacking skills?

No problem at all - I know exactly what you mean with your heat, as my record currently stands at around 4000. Anyway, saying a hit squad's after you doesn't actually mean you'll get jumped, it's really just an indicator that you're heat's so high you'll probably get attacked at some point. And you should keep the files you download no matter what happens, regardless of how you leave - as long as it's downloaded, they're in your computer. Shedding the heat, now that's not so easy - my tactic is to sleep in the closest place to the terminal (I buy safehouses based on their proximity to the Data Terminal), then just head to VIP rooms, so really the only difference between losing heat from hacking and losing heat from anything else is that there's a ton more to get rid of.

I updated the map... and forgot to put all the DT*T links. But I think you will get the idea. I also haven't added the two connections in the tunnels on the north end as they currently go nowhere. Unless there is something I haven't run in to yet?

Just hit the North End nodes (hit them through the NetTel in Syncom A2), and there's nothing further than alpha - you're fine.

I've redone my network map as an SVG file so it is scalable. The data is valid for 1.6.0. Took a little liberty with the graphics - hope TB doesn't mind. CK_Net.svg (221.07 KB)

never used an .svg before. One site said Word could open it, but it came up with little more than badly spaced text. What's suggested for a better view?

SVG is supported by most web browsers. Microsoft's IE has trouble in versions earlier than 9, though, but I think they have extensions that will process SVG. I recommend Chrome or Firefox. You can get compressed versions of them at "http://portableapps.com/apps" which will run on a thumbdrive or simply as a standalone. Inkscape may work too, but I think it gives problems with the backgrounds.
