hi iv tried doing the challanging difficulty lvl more the four dozen times and i keep dying very early in game can someone help me succeed in challanging mode, what type of career to start with, what ship to choose and what faction staet with and some detail on contracts and other things to help me have a long game in challanginging mode because it seems HIGHLY UNLIKELY that cory is going to allow a update to be made to allow a captain from normal mode to a higher difficulty mode.
So i have to get THIS TYPE OF HELP WHICH IS VERY ANNOYING.

The lack of a custom difficulty setting in Star Traders is definitely a regret.
We have not been trying to develop support for changing game difficulties, sorry.
You can make a lot of progress on Challenging by practicing on the previous difficulty.
SlayerNZ just posted a really great list of links -- several different strategies to try.
That is intended as the fun part of ST RPG -- trying different strategies on different games.

Bloody hell i got to my limit in normal mode and i just need something simple to go on and not reading other threads JUST SOMETHING SIMPLE WHICH I CAN COPY AND PASTE INTO A MEMO AND NOT NEEDING TO COME HERE TO READ MULTIPLE THREADS SO IF NO-ONE CAN HELP ME WITH A S.I.M.P.L.E GUIDE FOR CHALLENGING MODE I MIGHT ASWELL UNINSTALL THIS GAME A RE DO MY RATING OF THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

alexiamchugh - sorry that you are not happy with the difficulties. Star Traders can be frustrating, but if you play through it, you may find that you enjoy it. Read some of slayernz's guides -- they are all Pro. If you want, contact me at atrese@gmail.com if you are still unhappy and want a refund.

One of the many things that makes the Trese Gods awesome...no other developer(s) would offer refunds like that.
