I think it would be better when you press a faction flag in the stats menu, like faction politics and conflicts, it plots a course to the nearest faction plant, not the main core planet. Doesn't really help when you're on Cross-9X33 (36,34) and it plots a course to Gamma-Javat II (8,-2).

Yeah, I agree - it should plot the nearest faction planet. Effectively, it should be a way to find the fastest "safe port" when you're in need of help.

I've played the game for so long now that I don't even notice these little gems! I've simply gotten used to ignoring the links and can close my eyes and visualize 90% of the quadrant down to the individual sectors. You know, that sounds kinda sad  |

I've played the game for so long now that I don't even notice these little gems! I've simply gotten used to ignoring the links and can close my eyes and visualize 90% of the quadrant down to the individual sectors. You know, that sounds kinda sad Well, having a detailed map in your head sure is a bonus, but the bottom right part of the map is a mess to me, haven't learned which planets belong to who. And I usually need to be buying pardons with the syndicates, don't want to be on their bad side... yet. |

Ah see, the problem is that say you're in the conflicts menu, and you see that there's a trade alliance, you gotta move fast, no time to check you nifty Zoom Map. Just press the big red button.
