Thanks. I'm pretty sure Cory said it increases run-ins with other ships.

I think the best advice is to not use task killers. At the very least, exempt Star Traders. If you are using a Task Killer and have not protected ST, you are =guaranteed= to get the result that was described at the beginning of this thread.

Hehe, luckily, I got ST protected. I would like to advertise the taskkiller I'm using... Clean Master by KS Mobile!... To quote slayernz, he said: They paid me to say that!

Are there any negative effects on either the OS or the apps to task killing? Yes, applications will lose data, erase unsaved content and malfunction. Task killing also chews up your battery and reduces performance.

After clearing out some little-used apps on my First Gen Kindle Fire, screens seem to persist if I power down, but when I press the 'Home' button, many context screens disappear. I'm not sure if this is just the way the Kindle operates or has something to do with Avast!
Edit: Avast! is an anti-virus anti-malware app. I don't think it kills apps without being instructed to do so. A little hard to remember because I installed it long ago. Maybe I'll experiment with uninstalling Avast!

Thanks a ton, Cory. No, he's lying to you, jacob. ;-). I knew it! Such an epic developer can't be a person with a clean soul!! But seriously, thanks for all the games you two made, Cory Trese and fallen.

I am just speaking from my experience as developer on the Android platform.
I have a fair bit of experience with Linux, Android and Dalvik.
I would never run a task killer on any Android platform above v1.6
