Because I just can't sit on this one. This is great. Not sure if it was meant to, but the big red ship looks like Alien and the green one like the one running from it.

The red Valentine/Vae Victus and the blue-red Bid of Prey looking guy are the two ships you see the most in Star Traders marketing. The gray green one I see a lot and will be using it a lot in the future. I have no idea what its called.

Quick rundown of a post I made in the Library, Here is one of the 2 'hero' ships I have made interior/exterior work studies for. This one is so far noncanon. The other one I'm working on is a Danti Cautela class- somewhat larger and with two decks plus a dorsal hangar bay. The Verge Manta has two torpedo tubes and a pair of forward firing weapons. The leading edges of the wings fold upwards on landing, which it accomplishes via hovering with the nozzles of its sublight engines pivoted downward and opening a pair of ventral ducts in the forward port and starboard side. The class has a nominal compliment and berthing for ten. [img src=" fc04.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/232/a/4/verge_manta2_by_dayanx-d6j0q0z.jpg" style="max-width:100%;"]

Drool. I love spaceship designs. Here are some of the pictures I've been able to grab around the web as, more or less, conceptual art about things. First, a picture I like to think off as the Slayernz Cruiser Now,what I think about when I picture a narvidian battle drone. Here are 3 sets of ships design by Peter Prime from Deviant art (google search to get to his webpage) which I think are epic for the concept of Narvidian Ships from different Swarms (There being 13 originals in total ... in my fantasy)

Makes me think of Judge Dredd too. And Appleseed.
I like the ship designs. I don't think I can make anything look quite that.. crazily designed. XD

I have most of the main characters' likenesses in various states of completeness. This is the universal purpose EVA suit. Standard ship jumpsuits can be made pressure proof with the inclusion of gloves and an emergency hood with a 15 minute air supply kept in a pocket or pouch. When activated, the standard jumpsuit compresses around the user to simulate 1/3rd standard atmospheric pressure. The standard EVA suit does the same thing, but the fabric is layered with sensors, thermal webbing and micrometeorite protective impact armor. The standard suit also includes a detachable MMU (Manned Maneuver unit) and a tank of compressed propellant. Leviathan armor has a version of this equipped with a quick release that detaches it from the Armor's life support system on the back.

rabidbite your pictures brings me back to the debate that occurred a little while ago about population density in the NBZ. I think your picture are similar to my view but some of the ones beneath feel a little too high tech to me. I view the NBZ as crumbling slightly higher tech version of what we have today, at least as far as buildings are concerned. You have some shanty but some really nice buildings and areas in the corporate zone. More lights and neon and such at night. Here is an art piece I think represents my vision of the NBZ well, perhaps not perfect but a starting place. fallen did you mention population density? Does my photo capture well or is it more dense? Less?

In my head, @rabidbites first two photos, and the groundscape of the paxdad photo are closest to how I see the NBZ. The airscape in your post paxdad is way too high tech and "held together." The dome and the upper structures are constantly coming to pieces, and being rebuilt, reinforced, expanded, bolting on more surveillance equipment and the like. I shared this with rabidbite yesterday for his story: "Reports by BraveStar put the population of the NBZ just under 3 million. Other conflicting reports gauge the population from 3 to 8 million. By most census accounts, the population peaked 60 years ago. Most corporations are unwilling to talk about the populations housed in their factory islands, research towers, and other "secret" facilities. The hundreds of thousands living in slums outside of the NBZ and below the tunnels are rarely included in anyone's counts."

Irrelevant of the topic, that is a very nice piece of work. I'm putting it as my desktop background. rabid

Spent some time in Penn Station waiting for a train the other day. Soon as I hit Manhattan we were underground. Never saw the sky until I was on my other train up into the Bronx. I'd say it felt like Fennian- things were certainly run down enough and dirty despite the overpriced fast food and broken toilets. Too much of a "Bravestar" presece with NYPD, state police,, Amtrak police, even TSA and DHS brownshirts with full armor and rifles. So it felt more like an Orwellian nightmare than a dreary cyberpunk underworld.
I'll actually be heading underground in Boston tomorrow on my way home. I'll see if its any different but I doubt it.

Thanks to NSA, it actually IS that Orwellian Nightmare. True, right? That description of N.Y. with CK elements was pretty funny! I'm Max Mercer, more Metal than Man

The Goblin is a sublight extra-atmospheric light shuttle with a crew of two, fold-out seating for an additional 8, and can carry up to five tons of cargo into orbit. A pair of retractable wings provides stability and maneuverability in atmosphere. The cargo compartment is separate from the small cabin, and can be depressurized as an airlock. Usually carries a single fuel cell-driven 4-wheel ATV and 2 weeks worth of emergency air, survival rations and water for the crew as well as survival E-suits under the seats. Sanda's Slay carries one Goblin-class shuttle which is armed with a pair of 20mm Gauss rifles.
